Today is a day that has been marked on the calendar for quite a while for us at bowling.com! Today marks the release of two new balls from Storm Bowling, Fringe and Manic! We decided we better give you a quick profile on both.
The new Fringe as they say on the Storm Bowling website, is all about the backend! The combination of the straight pearl blend and the factory polished 1500 makes it so the ball gets that great backend, giving you a wider pocket and more entry angle.
The ball’s power plant is the very well-known N.O.S. core giving you a lot of integrity. The core is a higher volume core and one that is very predictable and loved by a lot of bowlers. It has the ability to be consistent on a large variety of surfaces, which is a huge plus in our book. The ball is well-made, effective and consistent, a lethal combination on the lanes and what we’ve come to expect from Storm.
If you’re a player that is looking for some improvement on your backend you’re going to want to give the Fringe a good hard look. It will make those single game or series goals that you have set for yourself attainable.
Like the new Fringe, Manic has been a long awaited release from Storm and now it’s here!
Storm’s goal with the new Manic is to enhance the mid-lane reaction. Testing showed that the breakpoint on the Manic showed a vast improvement in the breakpoint, occurring more than two feet earlier. The ball’s 4000-grit finish and solid R2S are what give it the desired action. If you roll a higher speed this ball will grab your attention.
The power plant on the Manic is the same N.O.S. core that we described in the Fringe and will give you all of the same benefits as far as consistency on different lane conditions.
Again if your game is speed, Manic is going to be your new best friend!
