Bowling is one of the charity events surrounding this year’s Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. What is a potato bowl? It isn’t what is for dinner, but rather the annual football Bowl Game that takes place in Boise, Idaho. This year the game is on December 17th and Utah State will play Ohio University. The bowling event scheduled is called Strikes for Spuds.

Veterans’ Day is a beautiful day of remembrance. One set aside for us to contemplate our freedoms and the sacrifice it takes to preserve them. We ponder the magnitude of the conflicts and tremendous loss of life. We mourn those who did not get to live a full life and wonder what dreams they would have fulfilled. Our hearts are full for those we knew and loved who put themselves in harm’s way for us.
