There is a new brand about to hit the bowling market called DV8. They are coming at the bowling scene with an axe to grind. They are definitely pursuing the edgier side of bowling. They are backed by Brunswick bowling. To some bowlers these days that doesn't mean much, but DV8 is going to be introducing 3 bowling balls that will surprise many people. Their high end Pro Performance ball is called the Hell Raiser. The DV8 Hell Raiser ball comes in black/red/yellow color scheme, and is a really good looking ball. All of the indications are this ball is going to be a BIG hooking bowling ball. This ball will be more aggressive than any other Brunswick bowling ball you have seen. Here is a quick description form DV8 - "The black/red/yellow DV8 Hell Raiser combines a strong asymmetric core with a new aggressive reactive coverstock formulation to produce a strong hook motion that is extremely powerful on the backend and through the pins. This positions the Hell Raiser as the most aggressive bowling ball in the DV8 product line." The Hell Raiser is due out August 29th, so we will be back with an update once we get more information, but it is definitely a ball to be looking out for. DV8 Hell Raiser Their Advanced Performace ball is called the DV8 Reckless, which comes in a blue/green color scheme. The Reckeless is going to be a great ball for medium oiled lanes. The Reckless provides a smooth and controllable ball that still gets through the mid lane with power to spare in the back end. Here is a quick description from DV8 - "The blue/green pearl DV8 Reckless features a symmetric core and aggressive reactive coverstock to provide good strong and controllable ball motion on medium oil lane conditions. The DV8 Reckless is the best choice in the DV8 product line for all-purpose performance for a variety of bowling styles." The DV8 Reckless also goes on sale August 29th. DV8 Reckeless The Affordable Performance ball that DV8 is releasing will be called the Misfit. The DV8 Misfit will come in two colorways yellow/magenta and orange/blue. The Misfit catches your eye with the colors, but also with the performance you will get for the price you pay. Here is a quick description of the DV8 Misfit - "The DV8 Misfit is available in two color combinations – yellow/magenta and orange/blue. The DV8 Misfit features a performance core and standard reactive coverstock to provide controllable hook motion on medium to light oil. With the extremely bright glow colors under black light, the Misfit targets the recreational bowler looking for performance and great looks." Be looking for the DV8 Misfit around August 29th as well. DV8 Misfit Orange/Blue & DV8 Misfit Yellow/Magenta We can't wait to see how the bowling world reacts to the new DV8 bowling line, but one thing we can say is that it is a brand to be excited about.
