- Description: The Addaptive ƒ(P+F) Solid coverstock is Brunswick’s newest innovation in performance enhancing additive chemistry. ƒ(P+F) describes our latest ƒormula that combines our new (P)rojection and our new (F)riction additives together to create our most aggressive coverstock to date. The Projection additive easily pushes the super aggressive coverstock down lane where the Friction additive kicks in gripping the backend for unprecedented traction. Being able to combine multiple additives in a coverstock allows Brunswick to effectively fine tune the length, mid-lane and backend characteristics of the ball motion.
The new Nexus Rotor core integrates a center stabilizing capsule and two vertical flip claws. The center stabilizing capsule revs quickly to control the mid-lane. As the axis migrates and the core lays down, the vertical flip claws take over maintaining the rev rate for a strong continuation through the backend and powerful drive through the pins.
We did it again! The Nexus ƒ(P+F) is so strong we had to add columns to the Ball Comparison chart and increase our Hook Potential scale to describe this ball. With its 1500-grit Siaair micro pad finish, the Nexus ƒ(P+F) offers our highest hook potential of any Brunswick ball to date. With an extremely aggressive ball motion the Nexus ƒ(P+F) skids through the front, saves axis rotation in the mid-lane and grabs the backend with a strong response to friction.
The Nexus ƒ(P+F) can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for asymmetric bowling balls.
The unique core shape of each individual ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. At 12 and 13 pounds, Brunswick uses a generic core shape with a RG-differential that is close enough to the 14 to 16 pound shape so the same drilling instructions can be used.

Couldn't be happier By JMo from Illinois
Reviewed on: 1/26/2012
Verified Buyer Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend About me: 205avg, 16-17mph, not a cranker and not quite a tweener somewhere in between (if that makes sense???) I was looking for something to allow me to keep my speed up and still be able to play through the oil. All I can say is wow!!!! This ball absolutely destroys pins. Was able to play 5 boards left of my baseline shot this year. Came out of the box with a 229. Followed up with the front 8 for a 278. Had a few too many beverages and fell down to a 185, but definitely not the balls fault. I just didn't execute and let off on the speed and through the nose it went. Allowed me to play deeper inside through the oil with plenty of backend to take care of the ten. Seemed like the ball generated its on revs and power as it went down the lane even when it didn't come off the hand perfectly. 100% happy with my purchase. Only thing I'm worried about now is keeping my avg below 10 pin improvement before our tournament. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

Very Strong, Outstanding ball!!! By Juju from Merriville, IN
Reviewed on: 11/22/2011
Verified Reviewer Pros:Flawless Surface, Great Weight, Attractive Design, Comfortable Grip, Everything Cons:Looking for one Best Uses:Tournaments and League Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I've been waiting for Brunswick to finally make an all around Very Strong Ball!!! I though and still think the Alpha-Max is a strong ball but compared to the Nexus f(F+P) no.!I'm most impressed with how this ball reads the midlane and just turns and hit the pocket with pure power!!! This balls just cuts threw them with ease. I'm no cranker. Maybe a tweener. My ball speed ranges between 12-14. This is my 1st week bowling with the ball. I'm bowling in 3 leagues. My avg is 186, 179, 178 in all 3. In my bag before Da Nexus is the Alpha-Max, Track 919c, and C-System 3.5. (when these two balls are too strong or I just suck that night the good 3.5 brings me back.) Week one with the Nexus 750-699-780 series. My 1st let along second 700 series in one week. I got to said this. I bowl with a lot of bowlers in my area that has forgotten about Brunswick. I bowl with bowler that love Strom and Ebonite products. And for years in the past they have a reason to. To anyone that has issues with Brunswick in the past this ball WILL make you think otherwise. The last few years Brunswick has made some outstanding balls. I would not overlook anything they bring out. I am looking forward to The Nano or Nano Pearl vs Da Nexus. It's about time someone challenge that monster. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

Great Reaction and TONS OF HOOK! By Jared Wolf from Jonesboro, AR
Reviewed on: 11/14/2011
Verified Reviewer Pros:Angular, Consistant reaction, Gets down lane easy, Tons of hook Cons:Still needs oil Best Uses:Tournaments, Heavy oil, Playing deeper, Long oil Describe Yourself:Pro Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Brunswick Nexus Solid Bowler Specs: 18-18.5mph 375-400revs Axis Tilt: 11 degrees Axis Rotation: ~40 degrees Layout: 50* by 5" by 45* OOB Surface Purpose: Well the Nexus Solid is supposed to be the most hooking ball in the history of Brunswick. Naturally, I drilled this ball to fill the "big gun" spot in my bag for when I see a lot of length or a lot of volume but definitely when I see a combination of both. I also wanted to make sure that the layout would give me the most versatility in that it would still hook a lot yet still get downlane in a shape that I like. Thus, I went with my favorite asymmetrical layout of 50 by 5 by 45 that has always given me a great read throughout the entire lane no matter what ball the layout is on. On the lanes: 39ft THS on Pro-Anvil: I was hesitant to even try and throw the Nexus Solid on this shot since it's only 39 feet with not a lot of volume. Surprisingly though the Nexus really does live up to expectations in that it gets down the lane better than any other dull "strong" ball I've ever seen. The fact that I didn't have to loft the gutter cap from the start is testament to that. I was able get a really nice reaction out of the solid by laying the ball down around 30 out to 7 at the breakpoint. The impressive part is that this ball didn't burn up in the heads like other really dull strong balls have in the past. It projected thought the heads and had a well defined reaction of the back part of the lane and gave terrific carry. For me, it really keeps the pins low, which means better strike percentage in the long run. Although it did get down lane rather easy, the pattern is such a low volume that I still couldn't stay with it for long. Highway to Hell on AMF HPL9000: On medium sport patterns, I'm the type of person that generally likes to play straighter on the fresh. With this ball, I pulled it out after a couple games after a bump spot was developed and moved way left with my feet, at least 10-15 boards. Then I could just send it out wide to the bump spot around 8-10 and let it come screaming back to the pocket. I tend to struggle a little bit when playing that deep because my eye doesn't like to see me throwing the ball that far away from the headpin. However with the Nexus Solid, every shot I threw I knew was going to make it back to the pocket. There were several that I sent a little wide that still made it all the way back to the pocket and that still had enough energy to send all 10 in the pit. Trust me when I say that knowing you can miss it that much when hooking it that much really relaxes the armswing, especially on such a demanding condition. WTBA Paris 47' on AMF HPL9000: This is where things really got fun with this ball. Unlike everyone else on this pattern, I got to start really deep and slide around 35 and swing the ball out to 10 at the breakpoint. No ball has given me so much hook yet so much of it coming from the back half of the lane. Everyone around, was jealous of the hook and the area that I had on this pattern. More importantly, it responded well to the friction to quickly stand up so that carry never suffered. I also have a C-System Alpha Max with a very similar layout. On the whole, I'd say the Nexus Solid is about 4 boards stronger overall with all of those boards coming from the backend. Therefore, if you are like me and really like your Alpha Max but still want a little bit more reaction. Then drill up a Nexus Solid with a similar layout and it will fit in perfectly. The Nexus will be longer through the front part of the lane and more responsive at the breakpoint. That, I guarantee. In comparison to the DV8 Hell Raiser, I'd estimate it being about 3-4 boards stronger as well with about an equal response on the backend. Conclusion: THIS BALL HOOKS!!! Other than that, it does so in a manner that is very beneficial for all bowlers and is unlike anything I've ever had in my hands. It gets down the lane easy but responds quickly to the friction so you can get the ball rolling through the pins in the correct way, which rids you of those pesky corner pins. In my opinion, this is the only ball you should consider to have in your bag as your strongest piece. No other ball I've seen go down the lane can do what this ball does. Do yourself a favor and make this an early Christmas present to yourself. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

I avg 235 and have the pin below ring finger and it is not that aggressive. I am very disappointed. I for some reason keep trying Brunswick and keep going back to Storm. Unverified Pros:Flawless Surface Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:No, I would not recommend this to a friend I have a 237 league average and have used the ball on a variety of lane conditions and I have found no matter what condition I try to use it on I always have something else that works much better. After adjusting the cover several times and shooting far to many 10 pins I have given up on it and will use other balls that work well every time. The only decent set I have shot was 246, 247, 248 for a 741 and that was with it polished. I'd pass on this one. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

Unverified Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:No, I would not recommend this to a friend I bought this ball to compliment my storm pearl nano. To be honest you can't swing this ball. If you throw a huge hook like me. This is not the ball for you. This is a straight up ball. It rolls out at the back end. On oily lanes. The ball is good only throwing straight up. On medium lanes the ball is good. On dry lanes the ball is a beast. This was just a ball I could have lived with out Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.
