Great first finger tip ball By Bowling MaiTai from Seattle
Reviewed on: 3/26/2011
Verified Reviewer Pros:Great Weight, Attractive Design, Colors are nice, Responds well Best Uses:Upgrade, Local Bowling Alley Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I have casually bowled for many years since I was a kid, but I just recently decided that I wanted to "get into bowling" as a true sport. I knew I needed to upgrade my ball because I wanted to learn to put a hook on the ball. This is a great first ball. So far I have bowled probably 30 games with it and my average - after I learned how to roll a fingertip - has gone up easily 30 pins and I rolled my best game ever at 172. I look forward to getting consistent with this ball and just picked up a Columbia White Dot for my spare ball because I now am having problems flatting this ball since I have learned to hook it. It will do what its supposed to do, if you the bowler does what you are supposed to do. Has decent back end reaction. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good ball for a decent price. WOW is all I can say By Karen D. from Cody, WY
Reviewed on: 5/2/2011
Verified Reviewer Pros:Great Weight, Comfortable Grip, Attractive Design Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley, Tournaments Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I am a league bowler and have about a 150 avg. My old Hammer Black Widow just finally got tired so I tried this Columbia Freeze. WOW is it nice. The first day I was just messing around with it to get the feel and scores were all over the place. But I did notice that it plays thru the pins way better when I slowed down. The second day, my doubles partner and I practiced for state so we were bowling kinda seriously. I slowed down and bowled a 213, 195, 160 with little effort. I only left about 4 open frames in the 3 games. That is very good for me as I typically have trouble picking up spares. But the stikes! Man o Man this thing is great. As one of the other reviewers said, if you do your job, this ball will certainly do its job. I'm right handed and throw a nice easy arc ball. My doubles partner throws a pretty straight "brooklyn" type of ball. She picked it up and it performed just fine for her also. Now she wants one. I highly recommend this ball. great ball By The pin crusher. from moncks corner, sc

Unverified Pros:Flawless Surface, Great Backend, Perfect reaction Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley, Tournaments Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I've had this ball for almost a year now. When I first had the ball drilled it hooked too much for my lanes and I couldn't figure out where to play it because the reaction was to aggressive. Once I had a weight hole put in this ball to cut down on the reaction this ball works perfectly. When this ball hits the pocket, cover your ears, it sounds like a cannon hitting the pins. With this ball I can throw it around the 17 board and out to the 4-6 board and come back to the pocket. One thing I've learned that has helped is getting a 1" forward pitch on my fingers, this way all I have to do is stay under my ball and not have to worry about putting any turn on it. So far the cover stock is really great, I haven't had to get this ball resurfaced. Very long lasting ball, reminds me of the Columbia Wicked and Full throttle. Was this review helpful to you? Very good ball By Matt from Melbourne, FL
Reviewed on: 3/8/2011
Verified Reviewer Pros:Great on the back end, Great Weight, Comfortable Grip, Attractive Design Best Uses:Medium oil, Local Bowling Alley, Tournaments Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I roll this ball down & in, and it has an amazing backend. It snaps incredibly fast and to the headpin if used right. It can get a good reaction if it's in the pocket. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.
