- Description: The Pure Swing is the newest “best of the best” from Columbia 300. It features our Full Swing Core surrounded by a new coverstock called Full Tilt 5.0 Pearl. For this release we have smoothed out the 5.0 nodules making the shell more responsive to friction and delivering a ball that goes longer but makes a stronger move down lane on more medium conditions. This ball is stronger in the backend than any High Performance ball in our history and will provide bowlers a complementary product to our Full Swing and Bedlam series balls. It’s performance is as pure as anything you have ever encountered.

We are bowling on 40 ft flat pattern with medium oil to the channels. I went to my local pro shop and he advised me to get this ball. And boy was he right. With only 3 games of practice on this ball, I shot 797 next night of league bowling after purchasing. And this is in a house that has only had 5 800s ever. It was real smooth through heads, did not react mid lane, and held its finishing power to the end. The backend reaction was great and it kept going through the pocket. I would classify myself as a tweener and I throw about 17-18 mph. I average 215 but I had been struggling to find a ball that could get through the heads and still have enough power on the backend. I have found my answer. If you want a ball that reacts great on a house shot as listed above, and you do not need a truck but a ball that will skip/flip and is still extremely predictable at the break point, the pure swing is your ball. Was this review helpful to you? The lanes were freshly oiled, THS has been a little on the wet side lately. I'm a power player, I was standing on fifteen playing over five and my ball speed was around 16 mph I bowled a 257. I am very impressed with the pure swing and it is definitely the ball I have chosen to be a step below my mission. To give some insight my mission was drilled tamed. My Pure Swing from the mass bias drilling instruction sheet was drilled for an all purpose layout for a medium track. My ball has 1oz side and thumb weight. For the record I am currently carrying a 206 avg,and I hope this is an insightful review. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.
