- Description: PBA Pro Brad Angelo says he's more excited about the C System 4.5 than any other ball in a long time. He's thrown it on 3 PBA oil patterns and found it to be something special! CFT v4.5 Coverstock - CFT v4.5 is the next progression in Chemical Friction Technology. The CFT v4.5 coverstock has a lower friction factor than CFT 3.5 which improves length through the heads and mid-lane without sacrificing the quick response and improved traction on the back-end.
I-Block Symmetric Core - The new I – Block Symmetric core was created by modifying the original asymmetric I – Block core (which has a symmetric base and an asymmetric flip block) to have an asymmetric base. By creating an asymmetric base with an asymmetric flip block on perpendicular axes the two asymmetries cancel each other out making the core shape symmetric. The core shape was also thinned and stretched to increase the RG min while maintaining the overall differential.
Ball Motion - With its Rough Buff finish, the C-(System) v4.5 will offer a lower friction factor with similar response time to friction alternative to the C-(System) 3.5. The new C-(System) v4.5 is best used on medium to oily lane conditions when you need to use a breakpoint further down the lane with a quick response motion to increase pin carry.
Reaction Setup - The C-(System) v4.5 can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for symmetric bowling balls.
Lightweight Engineering - The unique core shape of each Brunswick ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. The same drilling instructions can be used for 12- and 13-pound balls. This is because Brunswick uses a generic core shape with an RG differential that is close enough to the 14-16 pound shape.

Excelent Versatility By Body English Necessary from Brentwood, CA
Reviewed on: 9/14/2010
Verified Reviewer Pros:Strong mid-lane reaction, Ability to varry shots, Great pin carry Cons:None that I see so far Best Uses:Medium-heavy oil Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I bought this ball a few weeks ago as a new product for my scratch league. In practice on a typical house shot I was throwing a big bender with ease, and avergaing low duece. I was concerned that the lane conditions we use in our scratch league would not be condusive to that shot and highs scoring. My league is using the USBC Blue patterns. In our first week my supisions were correct and I could not throw that big bending shot in practice. However, the versatility of this ball allows for multiple entry angles at various speeds. In my first week I threw a 904 series (4 games) and am looking forwards to seeing how this ball will react to the changing oil patterns in up coming weeks. One minor gripe, this ball must be towled off after every shot as it does pick up a lot of oil and other grime which will affect the performance. Strongly recomend for accomplished bowlers. So Clean! By Chad Roberts from Reynoldsburg, Ohio
Reviewed on: 9/21/2010
Verified Reviewer Bottom Line: The C-System 4.5 did exactly what I pictured it would do, which is why I drilled it with a pin up, 5 in. to PAP drilling and the cg at 4 3/4 inches to PAP. I drilled this up to work as a transition ball from the Anaconda when I need a little more down lane reaction. The ball pushes through the heads better than both the Anaconda and the Revolver. It picks up a little later than the Anaconda, but when the lane carries down too much and the Anaconda begins to wiggle, the C-System really makes that continuous flip that I need without having to overwork my throw to make other pieces work. This ball rocks By Xanthri from Currently in Bahrain...
Reviewed on: 8/21/2010
Unverified Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I have purchased several balls recently and tested them all. I can say without a doubt that once you learn the lane and get the release on this one, it crushes the pins. i have used it on varied lane conditions only lanes that are pretty dry give it problems, on medium to heavy oil you can adjust where you start, then go to town. Whenever i hit the pocket, I don't worry about this one....it's a strike. even when i release a little late, as long as it clears the head pin, i can expect a brooklyn. I will say that i have a bit of trouble with spares because if you vary your speed at all this ball reacts to that speed change. Also when i first started throwing it I was bowling around 15.5 - 16 mph...it would hit hard, but not destroy. I finally got comfortable with my release (I had been working on some grip adjustments around the time I got the ball), my speed came up....and so did my scores once I was bowling this ball around 17-17.5....I have noticed my average consistently climbing up as I bowl more with it. When the lanes are a little dryer, i switch to my 3.5 and it seems to be a bit more forgiving than the 4.5. Really more than anything, it is all about staying consistent, and letting the ball do the work for you....and when it crashes the pins....it makes a hell of a crash....don't know what more a bowler could want. This is one to recommend By two finger mike from Hobbs, NM
Reviewed on: 9/14/2010
Unverified Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I am a 2 finger bowler and I get picked on a lot by my teammates. But when I break this ball out, the picking stops because the strikes start to happen back to back. If the ball gets away from you, all you have to do is change where you stand and then the ball will do the rest. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.
