Good cheap ball. By Sidney from Cleveland, TN
Reviewed on: 3/8/2012
Unverified Pros:Great Weight, Mild hook Cons:Tad heavy, Plain Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley Describe Yourself:Beginner Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend First off, excellent service from bowling.com. Ordered this ball and a bag for my wife at the same time. Received the bag 2 days after ordering and the ball 3 days early from said arrival date. Now to the review. I'm a beginner just now learning to hook a ball. I've been bowling for close to a year now hooking a house ball with just a simple 2 finger style wrist action. I bought a Ebonite Cyclone from the local pro shop and had it drilled and installed fingertip grips. To my surprise, it was worse on my game. I'm not downing the ball, I have friends that can hook it and knock them down every game. So I decided to look for a cheaper ball to practice with while being fitted to my hand and with finger tips. Upon opening the ball to my surprise it's heavier than expected. Yes I know it's 14lbs but It feels like a 16lb house ball compared to my Cyclone which is 12lbs and feels like a 10lb house ball. After drilling and putting the grips in it was time to play. To my pleasent surprise it hooked just like a house ball. Not too much to hook to hard and hit the 7 pocket like my Cyclone did, but also not so little like my girlfriends Maxim where it just spins. Was this review helpful to you?
