It doesn't forgive much, so I wouldn't recommend it for beginner bowlers. It has a ton of carry through the head pin and pocket. I recently had it polished up, and play more down and in with it, and it is still very strong and a very good buy. I shot my series high of 790 with it the first day that I decided to polish it up.
