The Mission is a great ball for......... By Southern_Info from Savannah, GA
Reviewed on: 3/9/2010
Unverified Pros:Flawless Surface, Comfortable Grip, Attractive Design, Great Weight Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley, Upgrade, Tournaments Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend The mission is a great ball for medium heavy to heavy oil for ya'll crankers and not a regular house shot oil pattern!!! The ball comes back no matter how deep you throw the ball and it won't die when it hits the break point back to the pocket. The ball clearly has raw and incredible hitting power. It is definitely a ball to have part of your arsenal. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

This ball rocks. Used primarily in league play on medium oil patterns. As long as you maintain consistant speed, this ball has excellent action. During the first month of use, bowling 2o plus pins over my average. It's worth a try for those on the fence. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

Ebonite becomes relavent again By Rak from Springfield, IL
Reviewed on: 3/15/2010
Unverified Pros:Attractive Design, Flawless Surface, Great Weight, Comfortable Grip Best Uses:Tournaments, Local Bowling Alley, Upgrade Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I was reluctant to try another Ebonite ball after the last few years where they haven't really came out with a must have ball. That has all changed with the release of this ball. I have heard Ebonite is scraping there whole arsenal of balls but I really hope they keep this line. The ball is very predictable and has an awesome continuous back end motion. If there is not a lot of head oil though it can be tough to get it down the lane so it is not a ball for light oil but otherwise it is great. The only draw back I have had with this ball is that I have begun to leave some 8 pins... I am a RH league bowler with 200+ avg. ~15mph ball speed tweener. Would love to see a pearl with this same core so it would have a little more length....already saving up to add a second mission to my bag! Was this review helpful to you? Great Ball!!! By Ebonite customer from Flint, MI

Unverified Pros:Comfortable Grip, Great Weight, Attractive Design, Flawless Surface Best Uses:Tournaments, Local Bowling Alley Describe Yourself:Pro Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Back a couple years ago I was a Hammer person. I bowled with the Toxic Raw Hammer for 2 years. Hit good for me too. I didn't know much about Ebonite but I thought I'd try the Ebonite Complete NV didn't have the same curve but hit the pocket harder. I thought about getting the Evolve but I read some reviews and figured the Mission was the way to go. I'm usually a 190 or a 200 bowler now I'm 210+. I've only had one game under 200 with it and that's because I let up on one frame and it came back on me. Overall, great ball. Hits the pocket strong, you just can't let up or its hitting the head pin. Get the ball! It's GREAT! Trust me. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

Tried polish, and dulling it up more than usual and all had the same result. Maybe it was a defective ball, but not going to get another just to find that out. Biggest waste of money ever, sold it for fifty bucks to a friend after twenty or so games. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

A MUST HAVE FOR BOWLERS, LOOKING TO IMPROVE THEIR GAME. THIS BALL, FROM WHAT I CAN TELL REACTS BETTER ON MEDIUM TO HIGH OIL LANES. THIS BALL HAS A GREAT BACK END HIT AND LEAVES ROOM FOR ERROR, SHOULD YOU MISS YOUR SHOT TO THE OUTSIDE. WHEN THE LANES ARE A LITTLE MORE DRY AND BURNT OUT, BE PREPARED FOR THIS BALL TO HOOK TOO MUCH AND MISS THE HEAD, SHOULD YOU MISS YOUR SHOT, TO THE INSIDE. ALL-N-ALL, I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS BALL AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

Verified Buyer Pros:Comfortable Grip, Loves medium oil, Attractive Design, Hit like a tank Cons:Rolls out to quickly, Leaves corner pins, Doesn't like heavy oil Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:No, I would not recommend this to a friend I bought his ball for the house with heavy oil, doesn't move much. When it does hit the pocket it leaves 7 or 10 pins constantly. On the other hand the lanes with medium oil it moves great to the pocket and hits like a freight train. When lanes dry out, change balls cause it moves too much. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

Great ball for medium to heavy oil By Ricky from Dunn, NC
Reviewed on: 2/12/2011
Unverified Pros:Attractive Design, Great Weight, Comfortable Grip Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley, Tournaments Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I got into bowling about 2 years ago after being around bowling all of my life. I began with the Play Maker which is an excelent ball, but I wanted a ball that had a little early break without taking away any backend power and I found it in the Mission. At the time of purchase my average was about 170. After bowling in my first tournament with it I bowled a 657 which was great for me. I also bowled a 300 in practice with it. I am now carrying a 200 average and about 80% of my bowling is with the Mission. Only problem for me is when the oil starts breaking down there is less room for error which causes me splits, but I'm working on that now. Was this review helpful to you? Changed My Mission Plan By Steven S. from Tyler, Texas
Reviewed on: 4/28/2010
Verified Reviewer Pros:Great reaction, Great Weight, Attractive Design, Flawless Surface Best Uses:Upgrade, Local Bowling Alley, Tournaments, League Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I recently decided to upgrade my equipment which was a 3 year old ball that was not wanting to react and some worn out shoes. After getting some new shoes I decided to start looking for a new ball. After looking on multiple websites for reviews and watching a lot of videos on different balls and how they reacted, I decided on the Ebonite Mission. I got it from [...] and had it drilled with inserts that same day, I bowled 2 games with my old ball while waiting and averaged had a 126 and 135. The guy came over with my new ball and [...] and I tried it out, the first throw was awful for me going way right, it rode the edge of the lane, but once it hit the dry and caught it curved hard left straight into the pocket leaving the 10. It was such a surprise on how it moved. Once I got use to the different inserts it had it was such a difference in how much I hit the pocket. With my old ball I had trouble hitting right of the pocket directly on the 3 pin and I would leave the 1, 2, and 4. Not with the mission, now matter how horrible I throw it, it still reacts and hits the pocket. The last game I played was around 170, which to me is a major improvement. If you are having trouble getting your current ball to react and are looking to upgrade anyways, you should look into the Mission, It is a amazing ball that no matter how horrible a throw is, it forgives you again and again. Love the way it cleans pins off the deck, completly into the pit, have to give it more room but will hook back from anywhere, has to have oil, if it's dry leave it in the bag or shine it up. should be a good ball for league, and certain tournament shots.
