How to get results with the Dominator By The grey goose from New Orleans
Reviewed on: 3/12/2011
Verified Reviewer Pros:Attractive Design, Great Weight, Flawless Surface, Control with power, Comfortable Grip Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley, Tournaments Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I now have all 3 mission balls, and the Dominator has required me to change the ball surface to get the best results. First I wanted this ball drilled with the pin below the fingers to get a early roll with control. My other balls are not drilled this way, and with no balance hole. With the finish out of the box I had problems midway of the first game. Medium oil, and house shot! I tried several surface adjustments, and finally found the fix. Brought the surface to 500 grit, and used factory finish, and thre results were outstanding. Great hitting power, and carried the 7 pin. I didn't have to make many adjustment, and it was fun again. I'm a senior bowler, left handed, and carry 210 average. Recommendation: Give the ball a chance, and try different ball surfaces to get the edge. Was this review helpful to you? After all a very good ball!! By AngelitoVelez87 from Puerto Rico
Reviewed on: 3/22/2011
Verified Reviewer Pros:Great hook potential, Great Weight, Comfortable Grip Cons:Not its best thrown hard Best Uses:Tournaments, Local Bowling Alley Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Im a league bowler that is actually increasing average from 160's to 178 with this ball and an evil siege!! I have this ball drilled to react early factory finish. Its just that if you throw this ball hard it could not work as you want it to. But I have found my perfect bowling style and with the right throwing speed this ball rocks!!! Im having at least 1 to 2 200 games each day I go to the league!! And i dont regret getting this ball at all!!! Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

BEST BALL ON THE MARKET By Jonsal from Hammond, IN
Reviewed on: 4/28/2011
Unverified Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I got this ball drilled today. Pin under my ring finger with the cg kicked out about 45 degrees, maybe a tad bit more. Kept the out of box surface and shot a 300, 276, and a 257 for an 833 series. The best ball i have thrown in my life. The coverstock gives this ball great natural length and the back end enables you to open up the lane like no other ball can. great ball for any bowler. This ball messed me up By Mayo from Long Island
Reviewed on: 6/19/2011
Unverified Cons:Changed how I bowl, Ugly Graphics Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:No, I would not recommend this to a friend When I first got this ball i shot a 244. Then as time went on it changed my game up soo much. I went into a slump using this ball. It always gave me an over/under reaction no matter the condition. It was the first ball I used in league/tournaments and within 2 minutes of practice it went away. I got rid of it, and my scores went way back up for me. Was this review helpful to you? Perfect for the 2011 Nationals pattern By Parker from Bettendorf, IA
Reviewed on: 5/15/2011
Unverified Pros:Comfortable Grip, Attractive Design, Great Weight Best Uses:Tournaments Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I had a 45 x 5.5" x 45 layout put into this ball. This puts the pin right above my middle finger...I'm right handed too. I went right down the street to bowl on a fresh Nationals shot and I had a 277 my first game and ended with a 756 for my first three games. Ball goes down and LEFT! I liked the 3000 factory surface but I wanted it to pick up a little sooner so I took it to 2000 and now I absolutely love this ball. I've found that with this ball I cannot use it on a typical house shot. If your center puts out more oil then this ball would work great there. I'm looking forward to using this at the Greater Iowas this year because I know this ball will hook no matter what the lane conditions may be. Was this review helpful to you? Hits Like A Truck By Stoney from Connecticut
Reviewed on: 2/8/2011
Verified Reviewer Pros:Flawless Surface Best Uses:Tournaments, Local Bowling Alley, Upgrade Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Left handed bowler with medium revs bought this ball to compliment Mission 2.0 which I have bowled my first 300 and 800 series with. Drilled mine with stacked leverage to go long and strong. Just drilled mine and took it out for league night last night, shot 279,235,279 out of the box. This ball goes much longer then 2.0 and the just turns and drives home like no other ball I have thrown. This is definately a great ball for those nights when lanes are wet and you need that drive to carry those corner pins. Great Job again Ebonite !! Was this review helpful to you? Garbage compared to the 2.0 By Jase from Star Lanes, Beaumont, TX
Reviewed on: 4/11/2011
Verified Reviewer Pros:Hard hit Cons:Weight Feels Off, Flaws In Surface, Less hook Best Uses:Wasting 150 Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:No, I would not recommend this to a friend My 2.0 performed so well that when I saw they came out with the $250K, I had to "upgrade". The ball is a garbage. With the 2.0 any shot on the right side of the lane will hit the pocket. I expected the same with a little stronger pin action. The $250K however does not give the same leeway that the 2.0 does. you have to be dead on your mark for the pocket. And even then it leaves 10's a lot. Even worse, I have to move my feet 5 boards in to get it to hook in the pocket while throwing to the same mark. In other words, less hook. I did shoot a 279 game with a 767 series the first night I used it, but quickly got in to a slump while trying to get it to work for me. Finally just switched back to my 2.0 and planning on buying another 2.0 when it's on sale because it's a much better ball. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.
