I threw my first 300 with this ball.
Pros:Goes long, Classic Look, Great snap through pocket
Cons:None yet
Best Uses:9-pin no-tap, Medium-heavy oil, League play
Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I had this ball drilled right before 9-pin no-tap league night. I had it drilled quite aggressive, pin above the fingerips with a balance hole. Warm-ups were a little rough, only had a half dozen rolls before league play started, but then I rolled a 273, 228 & 243. This is not very impressive in 9-pin no-tap, but most of the strikes were natural and this ball hardly ever missed the pocket. When the oil broke down, I did have to add a little speed to keep it between the 1&3 pins, but when it did rev up too much and go across the head-pin it usually caught a Brooklyn. As a frame of reference, my previous high series in this league was closer to 600, so this ball added a lot of pins. My previous ball is a Hammer Black Widow Pearl that had way too many games on it, but I loved that ball when it was new as well and wanted something similar. I feel like I will bowl my highest scratch game ever with the Jet Black, can't wait to get back to the lanes. It exceeds expectations.

Pros:ON OILY OR DRY IT WORKS, HITS HARDER THAN TYSON, DESTROYS THE POCKET
Cons:WONT CLEAN MY ROOM, Doesnt make me coffee
Best Uses:WHEN BOWLING
Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I BOUGHT THIS BALL LAST WEEK. I JUST GOT THE CHANCE TO TEST IT OUT TONIGHT, AND I MUST SAY IT IS A MONSTER!!!!! THEY MADE IT FOR MEDIUM-HEAVY OIL CONDITIONS BUT IT HANDLES EXTREMELY WELL ON COMPLETELY DRY CONDITIONS TOO!!
Pros:Backend Motion, Drives Pocket
Cons:10 pin pickup
Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Before purchasing this ball, I had a 175 league average, and had a hard time hitting my average on a consistant basis. After getting the Jet Black, my average has rose consistantly. No matter where I throw it on the lane, it finds the pocket and drives it.

Pros:Makes dry lanes like oil, Snaps hard to the pocket
Cons:Doesnt make me coffee
Best Uses:Dry lanes
Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
When lanes break down on game 3 or game 10 and you cant keep your strike ball from jumping across the head pin. Your adjustments are throwing ball out more, moving in, lofting the ball out, throwing the ball faster. These techniques all compromise your original first game ball motion. This jet black taboo takes care of all that. Throw your original shot you did for game one in the dryest of lane conditions your ball will never fail you its magic!!
Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I just started in a league this year and have thrown a straight ball here and there in the past. With everyone else rolling hook balls I decided to get one and the Taboo Jet Black caught my eye. The ball does what it is supposed to do as long as the bowler can consistenly roll it - that's what I'm working on....More seasoned bowlers like my brothers roll this ball very well which drives me to be get more consistent. As far as the action it rolls true down the lane and has a hard finish taking out all in its path. I really like this ball and am getting better each week I roll it. The only down side would be the rather large gouge that appeared in the ball after only a few times out right on part of the "Taboo" lettering (probably a stress fracture point created during the manufacturer engraving).
