Hand: Left Ball Speed: 15-16mphBall Weight: 15lbsPAP: 5 left 7/16 upDegrees of Tilt: 17Layout: 4.5 x 4.5 x 4 ¼ The Marvel pearl really impressed me on how strong the back end motion and the recovery that it has for a mid-high performance ball. I have drilled it pin under with the cg kicked out a little with no hole to have more control and consistent reaction. The pearl cover stock version of the best selling ball in the market the Virtual Gravity gives the ball a strong performance but stays clean through the heads. The centripetal core from the Prodigy and Marvel solid it gives a consistent motion down lane and packs a punch in the pocket. It is a good ball for medium condition on a fresh league night.I have a video on facebook and youtube! [@]

Hello everyone and thanks for reading. Here is the video that goes along with Storm's Marvel Pearl:[@] Great ball here everyone. Versatility should be the one word that is written on this ball. Want more hook?? Take the surface down a notch. Want more skid Flip?? Keep the polish up and watch this ball move on the back part of the lane. This ball revs up just as good as the original Marvel and has what you may call a built in turbo charger. You don't need to put much into this ball to get incredible performance. I have used this ball on all patterns but i will admit having the take an abralon pad to it for the longer patterns but that just tells me that this ball is VERSATILE!!! Comparing to in the video to the original Marvel you can see how the ball stands up by allowing you to keep you feet a little further right where the Marvel Solid forces you in a little bit more than you may want. The angular move is really shown off in this video and even a little hook stop which is always beneficial to those who like to stay up the boards. What more can I say???? Benchmark ball for me and usually stays in my hand once I take it out of the bag. Storm equals genius. Keep it up guys!!! LOVE IT!!!

I'm a tweener and I use a 15lb. ball with a ball speed around 15.5 to 16.5. This all depends on the lane conditions. My local pro shop drilled it with a 5x5x2-1/2. What I was looking for was a ball that I could use on multiple patterns without switching so quickly. This layout allowed me a smooth transition through the mid-lane and was able to cut through the oil retain it's ball reaction and continue it's smooth reaction to the pocket. It's a beast, if you don't have one add it to your arsenal, you won't be disappointed.

Marvel Pearl
Storms' latest release is the Marvel Pearl. The Marvel pearl is part of storms master line of bowling balls set below the premier line and above the thunder line. The marvel pearl utilizes a pearlized version of the R2X coverstock with the Low RG centripetal core found in both the Marvel and the Prodigy. The prodigy also featured the R2X coverstock with ETM,(enhanced traction mica) designed to Provide more traction in the midlane while being clean through the heads. With the E.T.M removed from the shell the Marvel will be cleaner though the front, slightly longer though the mid part of the lane while the core is starting up. This will generate more of a skid flip reaction. The centripetal core will provide a predicable yet strong break point to the pocket due to its low RG design. My intentions with the Marvel pearl is to have that strong symmetrical pearl that will give me length, midlane, and just the right amount of both controllability and angularity down lane.
The lay out I chose for my marvel pearl was one similar to a recent prodigy that I had drilled. I had been experimenting with extremely long pin to CG balls and using extremely high pin over lay outs. First my prodigy was drilled with a Dual angle lay out of 80x5x10. This put the pin about 3.5 inches above my fingers and an unmarked mass bias just above my thumb. On the marvel pearl I used a dual angle layout of 70x5x20. This layout put the pin high again only not as high as the prodigy. No weight holes were used in either ball.
When I got out on to the lanes on to a fresh house shot on AMF hpl surface, I found that the prodigy was really clean through the front yet picked up really strong in the midlane using a lot of energy there and really smoothed out a lot more than I thought it would with the pin over drilling. The prodigy seemed to quit more in the back. Next the I used the marvel pearl out of the box with its 1500 reacta shine finish. I decided to keep my feet in the same spot as I was right around 17 targeting 13 and hitting 8 at the break point. First shot with it was extremely clean through the front. I noticed that the core was quick to rev how ever and the break point seemed more archy than I had expected for a pearl ball. That shot went high so I moved my feet in. After moving in I noticed I had a lot more room down lane at the break point. The ball almost seemed like it had a jekle and hyde type of personality, it was controllable when it needed to be yet angular if it needed to be, like if I got the ball in down lane it held line and quickly created the angle it needed to kick the corner pins. However if I I got the ball wide at the break point the ball did not snap it set itself up and and had more of an arch type reaction to the 1 3 pocket and didn't go high as long as I was deep enough with my feet in the starting position.
Overall the Marvel pearl is perfect for anyone looking for that controllable skid snap reaction. The R2X coverstock is really strong and the centripetal core really complements it by providing the ball with a strong controllable reaction from the break point to the pocket.

Wow! The Marvel Pearl is Awesome! I drilled mine with the pin down below the ring with the cg kicked out and a hole in the P3 ( a small one). With this drill pattern it allows the ball to see a bit more of the front and mid lane but still give me that down lane reaction I want to see. Man does the Marvel Pearl terrorize the pocket! This one will come in handy. This ball definatly compliments the Marvel.

The Storm Marvel Pearl is by far my favorite bowling ball. I have used this ball for over a month now and cannot say anything bad about it. After the first two weeks in league I did decide to sand it with 2000 grit abralon, which made it a little more responsive on oiler lanes. This past week I shot 705 and had one of the best overall bowling nights this year.

i bowl 2 leagues a week, and go to some tournments. i own a marvel. the dissadvantage to the mavel was it soaks up a lot of oil but hooks and hits very hard. the marvel pearl goes longer down the lane, but has a reaction that is unbelieveable. the marvel pearl does not soak up nearly as much oil due to its peal cover, but hits just as hard and hook. would not trade this ball for anything.

Very good ball. I didn't think I'd like it. I thought the original solid marvel was bad, but this one makes the core come alive. The ball revs up for me and seems to pick up speed as it heads towards the pins. The ball is made of metal or something, it really cracks the pins. I had them flying up, off the walls, multi messengers. I'm really impressed!

Layout- Pin above/right of ring, cg stacked and a hole down by the thumb, narrow and deep (longer pin).
I had been worried, prior to drilling, that this ball might be a little too long/strong for my game, but my mind was put at ease after throwing it- not because it wasn't long and strong, because it certainly was, but because the breakpoint shape on it was surprisingly controllable. It cleared the fronts clean, picked up some roll in the midlane and banged on the back, but most importantly it continued well. For someone looking for a medium-strong ball with both angularity and control- this ball is a winner for sure. It is also nice to see a strong symmetrical ball like this that is buyable- because there are so few true "high-end" symmetricals in general, let alone one that is as useable as this on a variety of conditions for a variety of styles.
