This performance proven coverstock continues to be a staple in the Storm line by delivering the ideal blend of friction and power. Don’t be left out in the freezing cold – Turn up the Heat!

Great ball By mr.maxx from Greenfield, IN
Reviewed on: 4/28/2011
Verified Reviewer Pros:Great Weight, Attractive Design, Comfortable Grip, Nice Value Best Uses:Upgrade, Local Bowling Alley, Tournaments Describe Yourself:Casual Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I bought this at my local pro shop after taking to the owner. All I can say is WOW!. I switched to the Storm tropical Heat 15lb with fingertip grips from an ebonite maxxum 16lb with conventually drilled holes that I've had for 15 years. After the adjustments I threw a 179 first game. The only thing I had to do was slow my approach speed down and let the ball do the work. The price is great compared to other brands. Tropical Heat Strikes Hard By Mike from Lenexa, KS
Reviewed on: 3/20/2012
Verified Reviewer Pros:Pleasant Smell, Flawless Surface, Attractive Design, Nice Backend Move, Awesome Looking Onlane Cons:None Best Uses:Med to Lighter Oil, Tournaments, Local Bowling Alley, When oil breaks down Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Image Submitted by Reviewer:Customer Image (Tropical Heat Strikes Hard) I'm a right handed tweener with a higher track averaging 194 (see layout in pics, no counter hole) and this ball is so clean through the heads and saves up all it's energy for a nice little backend move that really hits hard. Wouldn't use it for heavier oil but does work great for later in the blocks and those "open bowling" days when there is very little oil present. Also works great for patterns like Dead Man's Curve when you need to play fairly tight to the pocket without pushing outside too far. Has great carry and creates a nice entry angle especially if you want to play up the boards around first arrow. Picked it up in the 3rd game on a burnt up 39' THS on Pro Anvilane laying down at 16 and up 8 at the arrows and shot 236 to complete a 664 series. This thing also looks pretty awesome going down the lanes too. Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

My first finger-tipped ball By Tommy from Tiverton RI
Reviewed on: 4/8/2011
Verified Reviewer Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley Describe Yourself:Beginner Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Since this is my first year bowling, I got a urethane conventional grip ball just to work on my spare pickups. After six months It was suggested that I get a reactive ball. At first I was having problems finding which mark to use and approach position. After about a week of experimentation and assistance from a few people, I finally found my approach position etc. WOW, is all I can say. Really knocks the pins down when it hits the pocket. I am a slow rev player and my average was 150 and now it is 180 with this ball. I'm finally getting into the 200's now. I still have alot to learn yet but having FUN doing it. First reactive ball I've owned By RedStangMan from Ft. Wayne, IN
Reviewed on: 9/15/2010
Verified Reviewer Pros:Great hook for slow revs, Unbeatable Value, Hot looks Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Used to roll a urethane ball but I have a pretty slow rotation so I couldn't get it to cut into the pocket well. If I throw this ball on the same mark it starts sneaking in about halfway down the alley then cuts right into the pocket for me with great carry! I quit my league play about 5 years ago with a 146 average. My first night in league this year, using this ball, I rolled 169,159,150. And that was with no trial games prior! Awesome! Really nice ball By Mataro from Athens,Greece
Reviewed on: 9/2/2010
Verified Reviewer Pros:Flawless surface, Nice graphics, Good backend reaction, Nice smell, Nice Balance Best Uses:Local bowling alley Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Although this is my first ball,I have some visual experience with high performance balls (both when shot and not). This ball is really nice, strong backend nice weight and really controllable.I am a somewhat low rev player, but this ball will hit the pocked no matter where I stand. I got 130 on my 3rd game with it (my average, with house balls, is 110) and I still am not able to release it properly because I have the habbit of bending my thumb Was this review helpful to you?
