Jason Belmonte

Jason Belmonte of Australia defeated PBA Player of the Year Sean Rash United States, two-games-to-one, to win the World Bowling Tour's AMF Australian Masters Saturday at AMF Bowling Rooty Hill RSL in Sydney, Australia. Belmonte pocketed $25000 Australian Dollar (approx. USD 25,860) for the victory and was awarded a PBA international title, his fifth career PBA title. The two-hander from down-under won a low-scoring first game by two pins, 174-172, but Rash, who was looking for his sixth career PBA title, leveled the match with a 255-233 win in game two to force a deciding third game. Belmonte won the high-scoring game, 256-243, to hand Rash his second consecutive defeat in a WBT title match after the 10th Columbia 300 Vienna Open. Belmonte made a ball change in the third game (Storm Lucid) of the match for the win.

Diandra Asbaty

In an all U.S.-affair Diandra Asbaty swept Missy Parkin two-games-to-none, to win the women's title and the AUD15,000 top prize (approx. USD15,515). Both players were targeting for their third win on the 2012 World Bowling Tour. Asbaty won the first game by four pins, 204-200, and wrapped up her third title of the season after the USBC Queens and the World Bowling Tour Thailand with a 221-192 in game two. "The Lucid helped me get to the finals," said Asbaty. "I used the Roto Grip Nomad Dagger™ to win. Such an exciting tournament!"

Storm Lucid
