Question:

stroker, senior, need ball to play down & in 7,8,9 board, brunswick synthetics

7/15/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Hello! The answer to that depends a lot on how you bowl specifically. But generally, because this ball is a performance urethane, it will be aggressive and will allow many people to play more down and in.

I've never bowled with a urethane ball before and was wondering how it would react vs a pearl piece

Answer:

Hello Mac! In general, all other things being equal, the urethane will be less aggressive than a pearl reactive ball.

Question:

Does this btu cover stock make the urethane more aggressive?

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Hello Mac! It's hard to say if it makes it more aggressive. It is supposed to make the urethane more consistent.

Question:

Which urethane is better this coverstock or the classic urethane?

8/25/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Hello Mac! In Brunswick's opinion, this coverstock would be better, as made clear in the name of the ball (BTU stands for "Better Than Urethane"). It is supposed to be more controllable than classic urethane and it will absorb oil, which should make it able to carry a bit more energy to the pins.

Question:

How does it compare to the blue hammer ball?

11/14/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

When comparing these two bowling balls out of the box, we can check the coverstocks, the finish, and the weight blocks. This ball has a Better Than Urethane coverstock so it will be a little stronger than a urethane cover like the Blue Hammer has. Also this ball has a duller 1500 grit finish compared to the 4000 grit finish of the Blue Hammer so expect this to react a little earlier on the lanes and a little stronger. Finally, this coverstock on this ball is also a little stronger so because all the features are stronger on the Fanatic BTU, you can expect it to be a more aggressive hooking ball and handle a little more oil than the Blue Hammer which will be a more dialed down and traditional weaker urethane reaction.
