The Brunswick Hero utilizes Brunswicks Durability Optimization Technology (DOT). This technology by Brunswick was developed to reduce the chance of cracking by enhancing the balls durability. This ball also has Brunswick maufucaturer's 4 year warranty! The Activator Plus 2.0 Pearl coverstock and Contra core pair up to give this ball an all-purpose ball reaction that is great for all types of players.
The Brunswick Hero has become the hero bowling ball in my bag! When all else has failed, I pull this ball out and it gets the job done! Layed out as 65x4x65 with 1000-grit surface, this pin-down ball still retains a lot of energy downlane and packs a punch. I am still getting used to where this ball fits in my bag, as this is one of the first Brunswick balls I have purchased, but this ball is great for fresh conditions with some surface, or even game 2-3 with transition! This ball is perfect to get through some oil and once it finds friction, that is when this ball is at its best. If you are in need of a Hero on the lanes, get your Brunswick Hero today!
Wow! This ball is an awesome release from Brunswick. Mine is drilled 60 x 5 x 35. The ball is extremely clean in the front part of the lane. The ball reacts very well to the friction and angular down lane. I would use this ball for most medium to medium dry conditions especially when you want some angle for carry. The ball hits extremely hard!!! This ball went immediately into my tournament bag. I won't hesitate to use this ball when the lanes get a bit dry and force me into the middle part of the lane. Don't delay, put one into your bag and bowl like a HERO!
What Can I Say About This Ball Its Just Amazing..After Seeing Alot Of My Bowling Friends Find Success I Know I Will Find Success With This Ball As Well..The Combination Of The New DOT Technology Contra Core And Activator Plus 2.0 Overstock Makes This A Very Versatile Bowling Ball! You Can Start Playing Straight Up The Boards And Then Migrate Left With Your Feet And Ball Still Drives Through The Pins! This Will Definitely Be A Great Tournament Ball To Have In Your Arsenal! Definitely Need To Visit Your Local Proshop And Make This Ball Your Hero!
I was really looking for a ball that would roll a little more than my urethane but still be controllable and not sacrifice pin action for performance. This ball fits the bill nicely. Such an amazing combination with the core and activator plus coverstock that I get a little more length than urethane but still see a down lane move when the lanes are drier. I look forward to seeing this piece in my bag in the future.
Probably the most popular ball in Brunswick's arsenal right now, the Hero is a great addition to the all-purpose line. With its pearlized cover and DOT technology, this ball is like the Fearless on steroids. But what makes this ball stand out, and why it has been so popular on the tours, is its ability to control the mid-lane and recover on the backend. This ball has great continuation through the pins. You can square up to your target or open up your angles in the front and this ball will recover and drive through the pins. Everyone needs a Hero.
Drilling and inserts available8/19/2019 - By Dave
We do offer custom drilling for this ball which is $39.95 and if you wanted to add inserts this option would come up on the drilling page with an option to add finger inserts for $4.98 for the pair and $9.99 for the thumb slug. Those are optional so you did not have to get this extra if you did not need these options.8/20/2019 - By Bowling.Com Staff
When drilling is purchased. Do I receive a ticket or receipt to give to a pro shop so they can drill the ball?11/9/2019 - By leachiM
If you purchase drilling on this ball through our website then we would be the ones that drill the ball. You would have to provide us with the measurements for your drilling in order for us to do the drilling. If you do not select the $39.95 drilling then the ball would come without holes and you may pay your local proshop to measure and drill the ball to fit your hand.11/12/2019 - By Bowling.Com Staff
How this ball compare to the chaos 300 black1/6/2020 - By Xo
They are going to be very similar in reaction on the lane because both are designed to go later on the lanes and have a sharp backend hook. However, the Brunswick Hero is showing to work best in medium oil and the Chaos is rated for medium to heavy so the Chaos may be just a little bit stronger hook potential.1/10/2020 - By Bowling.Com Staff
