Question:

What is the difference between high performance ball from upper and mod performance balls?

9/13/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Typically the higher performance balls will have a stronger hook rating and are usually more suited for heavier oil. Mid performance balls are more for a medium amount of hook and range closer to medium oil conditions in a lot of cases. Upper mid falls in between the high performance and mid performance group.

Question:

Is 12lbs. Will do strikes as the 16 lbs? Does it have the same hooke the 16 lbs?

11/15/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The 12lbs will not have the hitting power of a 16lb ball so you may have to come into the pocket with more angle to get the same result. The 12lbs has the same cover as the 16lb but they have different weight blocks. This will make the 12lb ball usually hook a little less than the 16lb.

Question:

What's a good spare ball and high performance balls for 145 lbs bowler?

11/17/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Brunswick Kingpin would be a good high performance ball if you needed something for heavier oil and you like the ball to have a smooth arcing hook. For spares you could go with something like the Brunwick Tzone.
