Brunswick Melee Jab Blood Red
The Brunswick Melee Jab Blood Red combines the Melee Low RG symmetrical core with the Savvy Hook 2.0 Pearl Reactive coverstock. This combination provides an ideal ball motion on medium oiled lanes for different style bowlers. This ball provides medium length by skidding through the fronts with a strong mid-lane rotation and a powerful backend reaction. The chemically designed surface of the ball provides more traction for a pearl ball on medium to oily lanes.

A must have
The Melee Jab Blood Red one of my favorite releases. The Blood Red is a tick earlier and a bit more of a round shape than its predecessor (Melee Jab S.E.) but I'm not afraid to get in deep with it. It will still have no problems turning the corner when you want to get in and get around the lane. The ball looks great as well.

50 x 4 1/2 x 75 - PAP 4 ½ -> and ½^ - Speed - 15mph
I was able to get this one drilled up and I did drill it a stronger layout than my Melee Jab S.E. and this ball was definitely stronger. It had a little earlier roll and plenty of backend to crush the pins. I have altered the surface from the stock 500/1000 compound finish to a 3000 TruCut and it even out the reaction so I was able to continue to use it on the house pattern. Be sure to continue to maintain the surface to avoid the lane shine, about once per month.

Brunswick does it again!
The Blood Red is hands down a winner! Comparing it to the SE, they are very close but reads the mid lane a bit sooner and stronger overall for myself. It is very smooth and continuous down lane without a violent motion off the end of the pattern. I feel the jab you can start with or end with. I can play straight up the boards and when the fronts break down it gives me a chance to move left without giving up continuation. I see it being used on a house or sport pattern.

Versatile, forgiving, continuous, beautiful...... Just the words I use to describe this ball. This ball is a keeper for me. I love it. It strikes all the time. I can take out of the bag in just about every game I personally cannot wait for my second one to get here so I can drill another. Buy one!

The Melee Jab Blood Red is basically a new take on an old favorite. This is a red version of the popular Melee Jab SE. I also have a Jab SE with a similar layout. With the same surfaces I find this ball to be almost identical in motion with a more rounded shape at the breakpoint. Overall, it is that same predictable continuous Jab motion that made the first Melee Jab so popular. This ball will be playable for most styles and should work on most moderate conditions with friction present. This could be a great benchmark pearl ball. If you missed out on the first two make sure you catch this one.

Melee Jab Blood Red
Here is my take on the new Brunswick Melee Jab Blood Red. The Melee Jab Blood Red is a nearly exact remake of the highly popular original Melee Jab/Melee Jab SE. It features the Melee symmetrical core wrapped by the Savvy Hook 2.0 Pearl cover. The color of the Ball is Blood Red Pearl and box surface is Crown Factory Compound.
My "vitals" are a 405 rev rate with a PAP of 5 9/16 over and 1/8 up. I drilled a Melee Jab Blood Red with a 40x6x25 layout. I have used this ball at factory finish and at 2000 Abralon. I have tried the new Melee Jab Blood Red on THS and Kegel Tungsten.
When a company basically builds the same ball and rereleases it, there is usually a good reason. Such is absolutely the case here. The original Melee Jab SE literally never showed any OB. It would turn the corner from pretty much anywhere as the strength and continuation of the motion in the back was so defined. If you are looking for a ball that will allow you to stand left and throw right on a variety of patterns, the Melee Jab Blood Red is for you. From what I have seen, the ball is very responsive to hand position changes so it is easy to control the amount of change of direction. That notwithstanding, the Melee Jab Blood Red will be at its best on medium volume patterns or broken down patterns when looking for strong left to right motion. It should be able to handle a variety of pattern distances. Again the hallmark of this ball is how strong it responds to downlane friction and continues sideways.

Another absolute gem by Brunswick. Comparing it to the original Purple Jab or SE, I feel the Blood Red Jab is very close but it is a hair longer and stronger than the original. I'd say its cleaner through the heads and has the same strong but smooth continuous motion that the Jabs are notorious for. A great piece for when the lanes transition and you need to open up your angles.
