Brunswick Zenith Pearl

The Brunswick Zenith Pearl is a great addition to the Zenith line of high=performance bowling balls. This ball offers a lot of the same attributes as the solid when facing medium oiled lanes as well as for bowlers looking for a little later hook. The combination of the Zenith core and the A.X.H Pearl Reactive coverstock creates easy length and angular backend reaction.

I really like the darker colors of this ball because it does not stand out as some of the other pearls out there. This ball really compliments the Zenith solid well. When the Zenith starts to hook too early, this ball is much cleaner through the front part of the lane and more angular at the break point. If I were to use this ball on freshly oiled lanes, I would definitely suggest medium lane conditions because of how clean the ball is through the front part of the lane.

Pros:

Great on medium fresh patterns with surface, when you need to move in

Cons:

None so far

Perfect compliment to the Zenith Solid

*Warning* This ball is not for the faint of heart. The Zenith Pearl is super clean through the fronts an absolute monster down lane. The THS in my area tends to really burn up in the fronts and gets tighter and tighter down lane. I've been looking for a long time for something that could combat my struggles with minimal success, until now. When the pattern burns up too much for my short pins, I get left and let the Zenith Pearl fly. Where as I've struggled getting other pieces through the pins, the Pearl takes care of racks with a vengeance and never seems to quit. And if you haven't thrown a ball with Dynamicore yet, you really need to. As a tweener with slower ball speed I don't get a lot of messengers but I get my fair share with the my Zenith Pearl.

Brunswick Zenith Pearl

Perfect for when the front of the lane starts to hook too much and you need to ball down from a ball like a Brunswick Zenith Solid. Cleaner through the front part of the lane with a strong asymmetric core that really turns the corner.

Zenith Pearl

The Zenith pearl is the little brother of the big solid Zenith! It's very clean through the fronts and can be used on lighter oil conditions. It is strong down lane but controllable! I have the pearl about 6-8 boards weaker overall and around 4 feet longer then the Zenith solid. It's a great 1-2 punch. Start with the solid and when you need to move left jump into the new pearl. Overall it has more backend movement and much cleaner up front and is a beast on the lanes.

Pros:

strong ball for heavier conditions, compliment to Zenith Solid

Cons:

This ball needs oil and may be hard to find on THS

Best Uses:

Heavy Oil, Tighter patterns

Zenith Pearl Gets the Job Done

This ball is the partner or compliment to the Zenith Solid, which was released a few months ago. The Zenith solid is a “hook in the box” type ball, but when that ball is too much, the Zenith Pearl is your next step.

Just like the Zenith Solid, this ball needs some oil, particularly in the front, to read the lane well. However, because of its pearl cover, this ball will get down the lane a bit easier. I noticed a 4-5 board difference between the Zenith and Zenith Pearl. I really like the Zenith Pearl because I can throw it a bit harder, lessen the finger pressure, and this ball will still read and save up enough energy on the back end on the medium to heavier conditions.

I like that this is a much stronger pearl than the Melee Jab Blood Red. This ball will not lose energy on the right condition, and you’ll be amazed and impressed how much hitting power it has – especially for a lower rev player like myself.

Great Ball

The Zenith pearl is probably the cleanest high end ball I've ever thrown. It clears the front part of the lane with ease and has a strong yet controllable back end. Comparing it to the Zenith solid, I would say the pearl is about 3 feet longer with a good 5 to 6 boards more back end. It compliments the solid perfectly and you can use it right after the solid starts to burn up and lose energy.
