Question:

How is this for a low rev low speed bowler.

Answer:

Typically a bowlers with a lower ball speed may prefer to go with a ball that gets a little more length on the lane before it reacts. This ball is designed to read the lanes earlier for a smooth arcing hook. Your lower rev rate may make this ball okay to use in medium to heavy oil conditions but I just did not want the ball to roll out too earlier and then not finish well by the time it gets to the pins. The Zenith Pearl may be a better option for you ball speed.

Question:

How does this ball compare to the proton physics or the 900 reality?

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There are going to all be very very close in comparison. All are high performance bowling balls with a solid coverstock and dull finish to help them read in the midlane and have a strong continuous arcing hook. The Zenith is slightly duller out of the box at a 1000 grit finish compared to the 2000 grit finish on the Reality and Proton Physix so the Zenith may read just slightly earlier. All of the other features are pretty much the same in performance.

Question:

I’m looking for a strong ball to give my son in law. He has a Storm? And a Rotogrip?, but both don’t hook. His speed is 15-16mph, and our bowling alley is medium oiled for league play. Can you recommend a ball for him?

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

It is hard to say because it may depend on a few different factors. The Brunswick Zenith Solid is a high performance ball designed to have a high hook potential and can handle heavier oil conditions. If he bowls on heavier oil and the Storm and Roto Grip ball that he has is not rated to handle more oil then that could be why they are not hooking well for him but it is hard to say for sure without knowing all the specifics.
