Take command of the lanes with the Columbia 300 Command high-performance bowling ball. This asymmetric pearl bowling ball introduces the Movement core and A.R.S. (Angular Reaction System) coverstock which offer excellent mid-lane reaction and continuation. This core and coverstock were created to offer increased motion from a glossy bowling ball.
Stores energy, heavy roll
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Man does this ball go great through the pins! This is a great Pearl that stored energy tremendously and does quit on the back end. Whether you’re playing straighter or deeper angle, you won’t have to worry about this ball finishing. The roll is heavy and is just enough for wet/dry conditions. This ball reminds well of my statement pearl.
This ball is clean through the fronts and does not disappoint in the backend reaction. This layout does not too much flip for me on the backend but has great continuation. I had the same layout on my Prism Hybrid because the core shape seemed very similar. The reaction is pretty close to what I had before, but a little cleaner and more angular because of the pearl coverstock. It would be good for medium oil volumes.
Great backend motion, controllable, clean through the front
When the heads break down, medium to heavy oil, long patterns
The super high performance skid/flip pearls are typically not the best types of balls for my style and what I like to see on the lanes, but the Command is a brand of skid/flip that I can actually use. I am somewhat rev dominant, so the big skid/flip balls are typically hard to manage in the back, but the Command actually does a really good job of blending the lanes while maintaining a sharp entry angle. It still does what it is intended to do, like get through the front and create angle down-lane, but it doesn't sacrifice control to do so.I also think this would be a good ball for speed dominant players looking for a strong pearl. Because it won't blast through the front and never enter a good roll. The ball has some teeth, so I consider it to be a lot more useful than your typical skid/flip ball.
Lane play versatility
None so far
Columbia 300 COMMAND – For the few short weeks I have used this ball in league all I can say is WOW!! It simply is really, really, good. I am not usually in a position to start with an asymmetric shiny ball BUT… this gem has proven to me to be one of my favorites. The COMMAND has a new A.R.S (Angular Reaction System) cover and a new “Movement” DynamiCore that permits me to utilize a variety of different angles depending on how the lanes are broken down by those I bowl with. In addition, a few staffers have told me that they found the cover to be quite adjustable in case the surface is too shiny. I however have found it to just fine right out of the box.If you are a Columbia 300 fan, the COMMAND definitely should be one to consider for your bag.
COMMAND IS A KEEPER!!!!!WOW!!! Hot off the press with a 300, game 1, on league night. I'm very excited about this strong Asymmetrical Pearl from Columbia. The ball was super clean through the front part of the lane and angular on the back end. I was super impressed with the STRONG but PREDICTABLE back end motion. C300 has outdone themselves with this one. I can see the COMMAND having a home in the bag for quite some time. 65x4x35DON'T WAIT, get your COMMAND ASAP!!
Length, strong reaction off friction
This may be the cleanest asymmetrical ball I might have ever thrown. It really gets down lane and is super strong and continuous when it gets to the friction.
