You Need This In Your Bag

I loved the original Messenger, but was skeptical about this one. For the price I decided to give it a try. I am extremely happy I did. This ball is very smooth through the heads even when they're fried. It recovers well on the back end and hits like a truck. It is very versatile and predictable. I just bought 2 more of these and it will be the first ball out of the bag for me at my local house. I needed something for medium to light oil and this ball nailed it. Go buy 1 is all I can say.

Columbia 300 Messenger, more than a low performance ball

I was expecting this to be a weaker ball based on the low RG (.021) but the cover stock enables this ball to get up and hit. It is faster than a lot of bowling balls but this one gets up and hit through the pin deck. This is good bowling ball made great by the low end price.

Question:

Does it hook and does it help you to get strikes

8/28/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball does have a hook potential in lighter oil conditions. With a little bit of hook you can get the ball to come into the pocket with a better entry angle and this helps the ball drive through the pins better and get more pin action leading to more strikes.

Question:

If I use a 9lb house ball what lb should I get before drilling

12/29/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Most bowling balls will come a couple of ounces over the weight ordered and after drilling it only takes a couple of ounces out so the weight will be very close to the weight you selected. I would select 9lbs if that is a weight you are comfortable with.

Question:

When the ball holes are drilled, where should the holes be for a left handed person? Should the holes be near the rod?

2/23/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Whether the ball is right or left handed the finger holes will usually be close to the pin of the ball. You will need to make sure you talk to your local proshop about how you need this ball drilled and which hand you need the ball for so they make sure the alignment is correct.
