This means Columbia has decided to combine a 2-piece core with a performance coverstock to create a unique reaction down the lane. Stop your opponents cold by ordering your Columbia 300 Freeze today!

Freeze Hybrid

Freeze Hybrid

The Freeze Hybrid was an addition to the lower mid line of Freezes this spring. It has the same proven Messenger core as the traditional Freezes, with a New Era Hybrid coverstock. This ball really expanded the line, along with the Freeze Solid, to give more diversity in ball motion to the same level of strength.

I really liked the motion the Freeze Hybrid gave me. It fit right in between the Solid and the original in terms of both strength and length. The Hybrid got down the lane and took a controlled yet strong move towards the pins, especially for such a weak ball. Compared to the original, it is 1-2 feet earlier and 2-3 boards more pop at the back of the pattern. This would be a great ball for late in the day or for low volume house patterns. For some, the original Freezes are too weak. This ball would certainly fill that hole to where the ball is certainly weak enough to get through the dry patches, but still would have enough at the back end to react nicely. I look forward to using this on beat up patterns and lower volume patterns that I may face. I have seen very good things out of the Freeze Hybrid! Check out your local pro shop to get your hands on a Freeze Hybrid today!

Freeze Hybird

The Freeze Hybrid works extremely well on dryer lane conditions. It has a nice arc through the midlane and has a lot of energy at the break point. I personally shot 300 with this ball only 2 weeks after drilling it. My drilling is 60 degrees X 5 inches X 35 degrees

Good overall

Overall, a very good ball- I had to take the top off the ball to get it to really cut over. If you throw a spinner @ 20+ MPH this ball just does not have enough out of the box- once I got the top layer off the ball, it worked much better.

alot of action on the backend

I have only bowled 8 games with this ball, I'm still having to tweek some things, but over all I'm very happy with this ball. It takes alot of geting used to a new ball when I haven't had one in more than 10 years. I use this ball as the lanes start to dry out somewhat. This would be a great ball for upgrading your old one.

With a New Era Hybrid coverstock. I really liked the motion the Freeze Hybrid gave me. It fit right in between the Solid and the original in terms of both strength and length. The Hybrid got down the lane and took a controlled yet strong move towards the pins, especially for such a weak ball. Compared to the original, it is 1-2 feet earlier and 3-5 boards more pop at the back of the pattern. This would be a great ball for most of the house shots out there right now. Go and check out this ball along with the other balls in the Freeze line at your local pro shop.

Freeze the Competition

This ball is exactly what Columbia 300 needed! With the success of the Freeze and how much bang for the buck you got this is a perfect compliment! I drilled this one 60" x 5 x 60* like one of my Violent Eruptions and the same as my Original Freeze. The hybrid is slightly cleaner through the front part of the lane with a little sharper motion but maybe 2-3 boards less overall hook as the original, which is perfect giving C300 fans a ball that's just a little tamer than the Freeze and Eruptions! Also great for anyone starting out with their first finger tip bowling ball or upgrading from an older outdated ball!

My Specs:
Ball Speed: 17.5 MPH
Rev Rate: 300 RPM
Axis Rotation Angle: 45*
Axis Tilt: 10*
PAP: Over 4, Up 3/8
Average: 232

Great Reaction

it arrived much quicker than expected...thanks for that.
Had it drilled locally, wish I had had them make a bit more aggressive.
Average improved, just wish I had gotten a 12 lb. Love the color and it has bowled 3 times or more a week and is holding up with just a few nicks and scrapes.

Good Ball

I bowl in a small center that is still wood believe it or not. This ball is great on wood lanes especially if it isn't drilled aggressively. The center is putting in synthetics next year and then it will be time to purchase something more aggressive.

I am a high school bowler, and this ball really cuts through the oil. I personally love to see it when I'm two- handing and putting tons of revs on it.

Pros:
Great Weight, Attractive Design, Comfortable Grip, Flawless Surface
Cons:
Not Enought Backend
Bottom Line:

Good but not Great

I think the core is not the best. I wanted a ball that rotated easier and had this ball drilled a little strong. The ball rotation is not strong enough to last all the way near the pins. This could be caused by my throwing technique. That is the problem with bowling is identifying the cause of a problem, but the ball did not help.

I bought this for my 7 year old son as an upgrade to his Polyester White Dot. He loves it and averaged 140 with it for his first 3 games.

Question: what is drilling protection

3/20/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: Manufacturers' warranties typically do not cover for cracking during drilling and drillers are not held responsible for their mistakes or defects in the ball. If your purchase drilling protection at the time your purchase a ball from us and your new ball cracks when it's drilled by a pro shop, bowling.com will replace your ball free of charge!

Question: another question what is pintop weight?

3/20/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: Hello! The pin is distance of pin to the center of gravity and the top weight is the amount of imbalance placed in the bowling ball to offset the removal of weight. You may want to talk to your driller to determine what is right for you.
