Have the same advantages as the pros gentlemen, with the SST 8 SE's. Interchange both the sliding soles and the traction soles to give you the most precise slide to fit your game. Never worry about the approach again. Slide and switch until you get the perfect feel. Note:**SE Models do not come with extra soles/heels**
This shoe design does not match up well with bowlers who have "serious toe drag"
I was in the need for new shoes. The pair I was wearing was dexter sst 4 the gold edition. They lasted a good ten years. They were wearing out and my pushoff shoe was worn down especially the insole. So I saw a good deal for these SST8's entered the promo code and I couldn't be more happy with them. Delivery was fast. I got to wear them around the house for two days before league to break them in. A 636 and 646 series out the box. I feel I have more stability at the line due to the construction of these shoes and with that added traction shoe, my pateller tendonitis is less aggravated and my pushoff is even stronger. Hands down if you are looking for new shoes I highly recommend these shoes. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase.
I use it mostly for league play so far so good had to wear it around the house for 2 weeks to break them in. Was a bit different than regular bowling shoes it was a totally different animal coming from a shoe that slides on both feet to one that brakes on one foot while the other slides changes your approacht but the construction is top notch and I love the interchangable soles, since my game adapts the two foot slide approach had to get a shoe slider for the other shoe from my local pro shop instead of getting new soles and heel, works for me.
A definate improvement in my game now.
Soles and heel that are on ball are for normal use. You may need to buy additional soles and heels for some slicker or sticker conditions.
I have had the Dexter SST's for the last 20 yrs and have been very pleased. I have averaged between 210-230 on various leagues. The thing that impresses me about thesession shoes is they don't slide as much which allows more control allowing for a more balanced slide and more accurate shots. My only regret with these shoes is that I didn't buy them sooner! Terrific shoes and I can't think of anything I would do to improve them! Thanks Dexter! :)
They work great for me
