No there atr not. Just got my daughter's shoes this week and she bowled today and they were too small for her. I put them side by side with a shoe labeled a half size smaller and they were a toe bigger!

Is there a charge for restocking shoes if returned because they don't fit?

If you were returning this shoe back for a refund there will be a restock fee. If you were exchanging this shoe for another size or another shoe then we only charge $5.00 to reship the next shoe out plus any price difference. If you have the True Fit Guarantee, there are no exchange fees to switch to a different size.

do these shoes have a hard toe insert, or are they a soft canvas toe

The upper of this shoe is made of a Lightweight and cool cotton canvas. With that said the shoe does have to hold the shape the toe is a little more stiff than the sides of the shoe just because of the shape. There is not an insert in the toe but it is just where the material is formed around the toe that makes it a little harder in that area.
