Balls with Same Hook Potential, Lane Conditions and Coverstock as the Hammer Statement Solid X-Out:

Hammer Statement Solid X-Out

Hammer wants you to make a statement with the Hammer Statement Solid High Performance Bowling Ball. This ball uses the high traction Aggression Solid CFI coverstock which is finished with a 500/2000 grit sanding. The coverstock offers lots of traction in heavy oil and lots of continuation downlane all the way through the pins. The Statement core in this ball has a very low RG with a high differential as well as a strong asymmetric core. This core design helps the ball rev up in heavy oil conditions. The design of this core places the majority of the mass at the bottom of the core which assists in storing energy. This bowling ball is Carbon Fiber Infused! Carbon fiber is one of the toughest materials on earth. Hammer decided to add this material to the inner core of this ball for added strength and durability allowing them to offer an incredible 3 year warranty.

Answer:

The X-out balls are going to have an irregularity or imperfection. Here is a description we give of what that could include: BALL MAY BE AN IRREGULAR WEIGHT, CONTAIN IRREGULAR PIN OR TOP-WEIGHT, OR MAY HAVE A SLIGHT SURFACE BLEMISH

Question:

Does any of this problem affect the ball

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The X-out can effect how you have to drill the ball. With a first quality ball you may have 4-5 drilling patterns at times and with an X-Out you may only have 1-2 of those same drill patterns so if the drill pattern you wanted to get was not possible because the specs make you have to drill it different that could effect the reaction you would have wanted. However, the drilling patter will only have a small degree of change that it gives the ball. The features of the ball will still contribute to the majority of the reaction on the ball and the X-Out ball has the same coverstock, core, and finish as a 1st quality ball.

Question:

I have read through the questions already posted and was curious to these imperfections. By irregular weight does that mean it is 15 and a half pounds? 16 and a half pounds? I really do not think that would matter to me as long as they are approved to be used in league/tournament play. My main issue I would have is the "Contain irregular pin or top-weight" problem. Lets put it this way I was looking for a solid style ball around 100 would it be wise to take the chance on this since this is what I wanted but it was out of my price range or should I go with the black widow legend. Just do not want to get something and not happy with it.

Answer:

We do not allow for requests on the X-Out balls unfortunately so it could be any of the issues listed. If it was the weight of the ball that was the issue it could be something like if you ordered 15lbs the ball may be 14lbs 13oz which is just shy of 15lbs. The other issue could be the irregular pin placement or top weight. So the X-Out may have a 5 inch pin and this limits you to maybe 1-2 drilling layouts where a first quality ball may have a pin 3 inches and you may have 4-5 drilling options. This is just a few examples of what could be the issue on an X-out.

Question:

What is the difference between an X out and close out?

10/26/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

An X-Out ball will have a blemish or irregularity which keeps it from being first quality. If an item is closeout and is not X-out then it was a first quality ball and the manufacturer is just not making it anymore. They discontinue balls to make room for new ones.

Unfortunately we do not currently have 14lbs in stock. It is possible we could get something in the future but for now I could not guarantee that we would have 14lbs anymore.
