DV8 Grudge Pearl

The DV8 Grudge Pearl pairs a Composite Hook Pearl coverstock with the Grudge Low RG asymmetric core and is finished with a 500 Siaair micro pad then Crown Factory Compound. This bowling ball provides more length and more backend than it's predecessors by offering an all-purpose ball motion with max flip and exceptional hitting power when used on medium oiled lane conditions. Would this ball be good for a straight ball thrower (I guess very low rev rate) that is looking to add some hook to his game? I hope to improve my release so i generate revs ultimately, but would this add hook by itself to an otherwise straight ball?

I would start out with an entry level ball, this one is a high performance ball. The Brunswick Rhino Line is a great line of entry level balls.
