Ebonite continues to break games with the Ebonite Game Breaker 2 Phenom. This performance bowling ball utilizes an enhanced version of an older coverstock in the GB 11.2 Solid which allows the ball more traction and performance in heavier oil. When pairing that with the trusted Enhanced V2 core you will see that Ebonite has set a new standard for mid performance bowling balls.
First ball out of my bag whether it be a house shot, sport shot or a tournament. The GB2 Phenom is a great benchmark ball because of its predictable core proven throughout the Gamebreaker line. You can play anywhere on the lane with this ball and it doesn't lose any hitting power.
WOW! This is the cleanest and most angular GB2 to date! The cover gives it clean reaction while the core never overworks and keep the motion and energy for maximum down lane performance!! It fits perfectly in this line and gives the Gamebreaker line an added boost! Definitely a must for any bowler!!
I drilled this ball weaker than my Original GB2, as a ball that i can ball down to, when the GB2 is a touch too much ball. I stacked it Pin over the middle finger. I am a right hander with a 480 rev rate and my PAP is 4 5/8 over and 1/8 up. What i got was a ball that cleared the front part of the lane with ease and had a pretty good POP down lane. I have thrown this on shorter patterns, later in the day, when you need something that can clear the front of the lane and still retain enough energy to go through the pins properly to carry all ten pins. This is a ball that you can drill several ways and get something different, based on the layout you put on this. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend to a friend. Great ball for house shots, as well as modified house and sport shots.
This bowling ball is strog nd yet it is controllable. You don't worry about what the ball is going to do, you know it is going to react downlane and get through the fronts. It is stronger than the other Gamebreakers, but still has that smooth Gamebreaker look to it.
Ebonite continues to modify the covers on the traditional Gamebreaker core (V2) which provides the bowler who loves this core a chance to add more ball motions to his/her arsenal. This is a bit stronger (shorter skid phase) in the mid lanes and performs at a peak level in higher volumes and longer patterns.
You won't find a better bargain in this price point anywhere else in the industry. While the GB2 is an excellent ball for straighter angles and fresher patterns, the GB2 Phenom has the capability to handle more volume of oil and extreme angles without sacrificing the overall control we've come love from the GB2 line, resulting in a more versatile piece. I have drilled two of these, one I prefer to keep at box finish, and one I prefer to keep polished. The layouts are similar and both provide unique transitions between the Asymmetric oil monsters and the cleaner pearlized balls that provide length on broken-down patterns. Control and continuation is what I'm looking for when I throw the Phenom, and it never disappoints. Whether on a sport compliant condition, or the recreational league pattern, the Gamebreaker 2 Phenom is always in play as a result of the versatility and predictability that it possesses.
The Phenom covers a lot of bases. A definite gem of a ball.
