Hammer Black Hammer Urethane X-OUT

Remember the ball reaction that dominated bowling in the 80's and 90's? Hammer does and they are bringing it back with the Black Hammer Urethane. Hammer has modified the popular light bulb core to create the LED core design and covered it with a Urethane cover and finished it with a 500 grit Abralon pad. This combination offers incredible control the length of the lane because you don't always need a violent reaction.

Question:

can you tell the difference between the X-OUT and Non X-OUT by looking at them?

11/12/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, there could be a few things that you can see on the X-Out that make it look different. First, the X-Out ball will have an X-Out stamp on the cover. This is not very big but it will usually have some kind of mark for this. Second, some of the reasons a ball could be an X-Out could be noticeable. One reason is if the color came out different, then it would be an X-Out and pretty easy to tell the difference because of the colors. Second, the pin placement could be very high so if you look at a ball and the pin is over 5" it could be easy to tell it is an X-Out. Other things are not noticeable. Irregular top weight cannot be seen and irregular weight cannot be seen so if it is one of these reasons, you would not know the difference just by looking at them. I hope this helps.

Question:

difference in reaction: Black vs Purple Pearl?

11/12/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Hammer has a very easy to view scale which will show you the difference between the two bowling balls. The FCC Rating for this ball is : Total- 16, Finish- 10, Core- 2, Cover- 4. The FCC Rating for the Purple Pearl is : Total- 14.5, Finish- 9, Core- 2, Cover- 3.5. this means that the Black Urethane has a stronger finish and coverstock to give it an overall more aggressive rating and hook.
