I could not guarantee this will fit exactly like your other shoes. We do have a True Fit Guarantee option which would help make exchanges quicker, easier and cheaper if you needed to exchange the shoe for another size. I would recommend this if you have never had a Hammer brand shoe before just to be safe.

Do these shoes have a toe guard to save on toe drag?

Yes and No. This does have a strip across the toe of the shoe to help but no bowling shoe is designed to withstand toe drag. If you tap your toe then this would help against just tapping your toe at the end of your slide but dragging your toe will damage this shoe as well as almost every other bowling shoe unfortunately.

Yes, the traction sole is removable and you could put a slide sole on that foot if you prefer for it to slide instead of grip.

I am looking for a high quality left handed bowling shoe that is not stiff leather like what I have now. I prefer more of a flexible, almost sneaker like feel but with interchangable soles. Is this combo out there

I think this may be a good option for what you are looking for. Several of the reviews we have had show this to be a very comfortable shoe out of the box with no break in required. This also has the interchangeable sole options so you get everything you are looking for.
