Your competition won't believe their eyes when you roll the Hammer Scandal Pearl down the lane. This is one strong pearlized bowling ball! This ball takes the proven Scandal core and wraps it with the Semtex Pearl CFI coverstock and then is finished with a 500 then 1000 grit Abralon pad and polished with the Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish. This combination of core, cover, and finish gives this ball mid lane control and all the angularity needed on the backend to dominate on medium to heavy oil conditions. This bowling ball is Carbon Fiber Infused! Carbon fiber is one of the toughest materials on earth. Hammer decided to add this material to the inner core of this ball for added strength and durability allowing them to offer an incredible 3 year warranty.
I have thrown this on multiple patterns thus far and it has impressed me more than any other ball in my bag. On heavier volumes I took my pin down and knocked the shine off by hand with a 2000 abralon and man does this ball read a little sooner and drive hard through the pins! This is the one ball I carry both pin up and down to every tournament and even league in several different houses. This is a motion that strokers, tweeners and higher rev players with have success with. For players with my style it will probably be your favorite ball to date, it allows me to stay right on the lane in my comfort zone, with good length and strong backend and drive. Happy striking!!
BALL LAYOUT: 75 x 4 1/2 x 30
I simply love my Scandal and the new Scandal Pearl is the strongest pearl ball that Hammer has ever made. With that in mind, I drilled the Pearl similar to my Scandal to compliment each other and it is exactly what I wanted. The pearlized cover is clean enough, but does not offer an over/under reaction due to the strong core of the Scandal. When moving in with my Scandal and started leaving weak 10s, the Scandal Pearl is helps get down the lane and offer more backend motion to kick out the 10. The Scandal Pearl still offers the a new technology that infuses Carbon Fiber into the coverstock to offer the most hooking potential in a pearlized coverstock for the Hammer brand on the heavier medium to heavy lane patterns. The great thing about this strong rolling piece is you can keep moving left and the ball does not stop moving toward the pocket. The Scandal Pearl is about 3-5 less than my Scandal & about 3-5 more boards than my RebeL I am really impressed with this ball motion from the Hammer brand.
I took a little shine off (light 3000 pad) my Scandal Pearl as it was a little too long for my liking! You can use this ball on the fresh House patterns for all 3 games and various medium / medium heavier lane patterns.
With the new 3 year warrantee that Hammer provides for this ball, this is the BEST bang for your buck!
I think this ball will be a must have ball for those that are looking for something offers a great motion that does not stop rolling in the backend – it really continues through the pin deck! Very versatile ball… You will be impressed!
I used a 45 x 4 x 40 layout (Pin up) on this ball. I also hit the ball lightly with a 4000 pad after drilling. This ball rolls very well. I am a big fan of the Scandal but sometimes it rolls a little early for lighter conditions. I was hoping that this ball would be cleaner through the fronts and it did just that! It also gives a very strong motion at the end of the pattern. Very impressed!!
The Hammer Scandal Pearl is a 10/18/16 release, and you will not be disappointed. It is Hammer's strongest pearl bowling ball to date. It is a symmetrical core with a nice mid lane reaction, and a larger than normal angular motion down the lane. It has typical Hammer hitting power, a nice color combo, and as the successor to the original Scandal, should be a big seller.
The Scandal is one of the top 3 high end balls in my bag. The Scandal Pearl is the perfect compliment for when the lanes break down and you need to keep the shape you need for perfect pin carry. It is also great for medium fresh conditions. It will give you that extra few feet through the heads with the same great finish as the original Scandal.
