Balls with Same Hook Potential, Lane Conditions and Coverstock as the Hammer Viral Hybrid:

Hammer Viral Hybrid

Hammer continues the success of the Viral bowling balls with the Hammer Viral Hybrid. This version offers a stronger mid-lane reaction while keeping the consistent and predictable reaction of the previous Viral balls on dry to medium oil conditions. All of this is achieved by combining the Vibe core with the Violent Flip Hybrid coverstock and finishing it with a 500 grit and then 2000 grit Abralon pad and then Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish. This bowling ball is infused with Carbon Fiber! Hammer added this tough material to the inner core of this ball to add strength and durability so that they can offer an incredible 3 year warranty.

Question:

Is this ball good for low rev rate

6/15/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes and No. I am sure some bowlers with a low rev will find this ball works and matches well with their style but there is more to consider than just rev rate. You would need to determine if your revs match your ball speed. If both your ball speed and rev rate are low, then this ball should work fine. If you have a low rev rate and high ball speed, then you will likely not want to get this ball. The ball has a late break on the lanes so if you throw fast and do not put much spin on the ball, you will not see much movement on this. You would need to find a ball that reads more midlane to help if you are a speed dominant player. We hope this helps.

Should break late and create a nice angle into the pocket, if it is really dry, may need to stand a little further left.

The 13lb and 12lb will be the Diesel core from an older line but this weight block will still give the ball a great reaction no the lanes.
