The zippers on this bag is horrible, both top and bottom bags constantly come open due to the zippers coming apart. I would never recommend this product, very cheap zippers.

Zippers are a problem with this brand
I have owned two of these bags. I received the first one, and the zippers did not stay together and eventually become very frustrating in about 2 months. I was able to get a replacement, but it ended up being the same. The zippers went to junk in about a month. I can't get another replacement back and the company doesn't refund (not talking about bowling.com. Strikeforce brand knows about the zippers but won't do anything about It.

There is a pocket on the lower bag but is it not accessible from the front of the bag. You must open the lower compartment and the pocket is the on the inside of the unzipped front of the bag.

How far will the handle stick out when pushed back in? Will it be down far enough so that it can be put in the truck of a car without it lying on its side?

The handle will not collapse past the top of the top bag even when you take the top bag off of the bag unfortunately. It is very possibly it would fit in a trunk if you needed to lay it down on the back side but it would not be able to stand up in the trunk because the handle would still be sticking up too high.
