I want to order this for my husband but I need to know if the handle goes all the way down. The airlines messes up the bags when the handle doesn't go all the way down

Unfortunately the handle does not collapse down when you remove the middle and top bags so this would not be a good option for airline travel unfortunately.

The middle section can be removed but the bag would not collapse down if you remove the middle bag. You could technically use this without the middle bag but there would just be a big gap between the top and bottom bags.
