Hello Joel! Yes, these do tend to be true to size. If you're in between on the sizing though, I would probably recommend going with a different shoe. These are closeout shoes and you wouldn't be able to return or exchange them.

A lot of people will use a shoe brush to break in the sole and that can help with less slide and more consistency.
