Take aim at spares with the Motiv Arctic Sniper. Motiv has improved upon the original Sniper by using DMX Urethane coverstock technology. By switching from a polyester coverstock to a urethane the chances of cracking or chipping are greatly reduced. The Hollow Point core provides sharp shooting accuracy. The white pearl and silver pearl give this ball great visual appeal as well. Eliminate those spare pins out with the Arctic Sniper!
Me: league bowler, 200 average. Got this for Christmas as a new spare ball. Hadn't thrown a urethane in probably 20 years, since well before I learned a hook. The Arctic Sniper does have a small weight block that causes it to hook up ever so slightly: as a righty, it's really tough to get the ten-pin with this ball. But it's great for everything else. The 7-pin is a breeze. That little bit of grab makes it ideal for the 3/10 split. And when the oil pattern gets demolished or is really funky, I can play a 5-to-10 line or straight up the 10-board and it cruises into the pocket as easy as you please. So in my arsenal it's a spare ball (for some spares) and a strike ball (for a few patterns). Just an interesting kind of tweener multi-purpose ball.
I use this as my primary spare ball.
I use this ball to pick up my spares. Its a reliable ball. I have had it for 2 years. Coverstock is very durable.
