Question:

How would you compare the Columbia tyrant to the motiv forge

12/18/2018 - By

The Tyrant is meant for heavy oil only and is a solid coverstock whereas the Forge is meant for medium-heavy oil and is also a solid coverstock. They are both high performance balls, one is just meant for heavy oil and the other is meant for medium-heavy.

Question:

Will the motiv forge come in flat when there is more oil on the lanes

8/22/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

No, this ball will give you a great reaction when there is heavier oil on the lanes. It would only come in flat if you throw this in really lighter conditions because it would roll out too early. It needs medium to heavier oil on the lanes to work best.

Question:

What is the difference between the motiv forge and the motiv forge fire

9/12/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The difference can be best explained by looking at the Motiv scale for the performance. The numbers for the Forge are Length: 13, Backend: 16, Hook: 58. The numbers for the Forge Fire are Length: 16, Backend: 17.5, Hook: 56. So the Forge Fire will go longer but The Forge is a little stronger overall.

Question:

How does this compare to the motiv t-10

11/22/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

They both had the 3000 Grit finish so they would each react with similar length but the Forge is a stronger hooking ball and that makes the Forge work more in medium to heavy oil while the T10 was more suited for medium only.
