Motiv Tank Blitz

Tanks are tough and strong and so is the Motiv Tank Blitz. Motiv improved upon a new coverstock that combines the best of urethane and reactive resin. The Frixion+ Microcell Polymer coverstock absorbs more oil to better navigate higher volumes of oil causing this ball to react earlier and smoother than its predecessor. The Tank Blitz uses a low RG and low differential Gear core. This core gives the ball a stronger urethane reaction shape with great continuation. The 2000 Grit LSS finish on the cover gives more advanced bowlers a new shape but also provides average bowlers an early and smooth choice when facing medium oil conditions.

Question:

i have the covert tank .. whats the difference between these two ?

11/4/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The cover on the new Tank Blitz is stronger to handle more oil than the Covert Tank. Also the weight block is designed to read earlier on the Blitz to give you a smoother hook reaction on the lane than the Tank.

Question:

Can I have my own logo engraved or set in the ball?

11/24/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

We do not have a way to do engraving or customization here for the bowling balls. You may be able to have your local proshop engrave this for you but you may check locally to see what options they have available.

Question:

Which ball has a closer reaction to the purple hammer, the covert tank, or the tank blitz ?

3/31/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

That is a good question and unfortunately there is not one option that is going to be spot on like the Purple Hammer. The Tank Blitz has a stronger coverstock which makes it more for medium oil while the Covert Tank has a stronger weight block which may make it a little stronger reaction than the Purple Hammer in lighter oil. So I believe both Tanks will be stronger than the Purple Hammer but I would lean a little to the Covert Tank being slightly closer.

Question:

If I don’t request a specific pin length or top weight, what is the standard pin/weight that you ship ?

4/16/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Unfortunately there is not a standard pin or top weight that is shipped if you do not request the pin or top weight. We would just ship the first ball we see on the shelf that matches the weight you selected so if you have a specific drill pattern you want to get, please make sure you request the pin and top weight so we can find a ball that will give you the best chance of getting that drill pattern.

Question:

Is this ball a good ball for a newbe 2 hander

11/26/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This could be a good option if this was your first performance ball. You can use this in medium oil conditions and it would be a big step up from a house ball. Typically 2 handed bowlers get a lot of revs. If you have a high ball speed to go with that higher rev rate then this is still a good option. However, if you have a slower ball speed and high rev rate you may want to find something with more length so the ball does not hook too much too early on the lanes.

Question:

Do tank blitz comes in 4 pin placement or higher in 14lbs

3/12/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

It is possible to get a higher pin like a 4 inch pin in 14lbs but we are not able to see that before an order is placed. You may make the request in the pin / top weight box when placing the order and if we have a ball that matches your request it will ship out. If we do not have a match, we will contact you back to go over what we found.

No, this ball has a mixture of urethane and reactive resin actually but it is designed this way to try and get a smoother reaction that people like from urethanes.

3/31/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

You may want to drill this ball to read a little later if you have a slower ball speed. You may talk to your proshop when you take this in for drilling and they should be able to get a layout that best matches your style.
