Midlane magic!

Stats: PAP 4 over ¾ up, 15 mph, 18 tilt, 275 revs. I drilled my Crypto 50x4.5x30. This ball reads the lanes early midlane for me, so I have been saving it when I deal with more oil. On lanes with less oil, this still maintains energy and has a smooth overall reaction even as I move left.

Radical Crypto: This bet is a sure thing!!

The Radical Crypto is probably my favorite symmetric solid that I have drilled in a long time. My layout was 55 x 4.5" x 30, to give it a benchmark reaction for me from this upper end solid, and this ball did not disappoint. It gives me an old school, heavy rolling solid, chews through the mids, and smiles doing it. Where this one separates itself is how it continues through the pins all the way into the deck. There is not much deflection from the Crypto, which comes in handy when oil pushes down, or you have a medium-heavy pattern where you have to play inside with less entry angle. This ball really shines when you can give it 100% and watch it just slap out corner after corner. I have used it on ABT #3 sport oil pattern and two different length house shots, 39 ft. and 41 ft., and have had success on all of them. I look forward to hitting up tournament season with this one! If you are a one ball a year type of bowler, are rev challenged, or want that extra tool in your tournament bag, you HAVE to get a Crypto. It is more ball than the Bonus Solid, but just under the Trailblazer Solid, in terms of overall hook and reaction for me. The CRYpto will make your opponents CRY

The Crypto is the strongest symmetrical ball I have thrown in some time. Strongest sym in the Radical by far. This ball has great shelf appeal along with the colors looking good going down lane. I found it to be much earlier and several boards more hook than the Bigfoot.

Hi Dennis, this ball would react mid-lane for a medium length.

Question:

I roll a ball around 13 mpr would this be a good ball for me?

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This could be a good option for you but it also depends on your rev rate. If you have a higher rev rate and a slow to average ball speed then a duller ball may be harder to control because it will start reading in the midlane and it may hook too much too early. If your rev rate matches your ball speed and is average to lower then this ball would work pretty close to how it is described in medium to heavy oil conditions.

Question:

I throw around 18-19 mph. Straight power bowler. Is this a good choice

8/23/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

If you are speed dominant then this would be a good fit if you were wanting the ball to give you some kind of hook potential. If you did not want any hook then you could easily find a lower priced "spare" ball that would go straighter but for a high speed bowler with low revs (spin) this could be a great option.
