Looking for something ridiculously aggressive? Well, look no further than the Radical Ridiculous Asym. The pairing of this asymmetric core and a stronger cover give the Ridiculous Asym an aggressively different reaction on the lanes with a more powerful ball motion.
Pro shop driller watched me throw it in practice and said it was so impressive that he is going to drill one for himself. I also have a Ridiculous and the balls are both easy to throw and feel confident that both balls are good. I feel that I am set for any condition except heavy oil since I am a 73 year old stroker.
When i first threw it, i was surprised by how much it burned off axis as it got the back part of the lane. But, the stronger cover, and asymmetrical core, gives this ball a distinct shape that is necessary for everyone's game.
That's now more ridiculous that has ever been. The new Ridiculous Asym pushes the limits even further. With the new core design and the beefed up cover, the Ridiculous Asym is a stronger version of the original.
I was looking to drill a ball that is much controllable for short to medium pattern. 70x4.5x75 was the choice and the result is amazing. A lot of midlane roll and continuation through the pins. The first test was on the WTBA Montreal 41' and it gives me pretty good room to miss both inside and outside. With a different layout that keeps more energy, it would be great for THS.
More midlane with even more continuation thought the pins. That's what the Ridiculous Asym has to offer to you.
This ball is very clean in the front part of the lane. It hooks about 4 more boards than the Ridiculous. It starts it's hook about a foot sooner than the Ridiculous. It is a great addition to the Ridiculous. Great job Radical bowling Technologies.
Specs: Left Handed, 15 mph, ~400 rev rate, drilled my Ridiculous Asym 45*x4x70* (PAP is 4 1/2" over, 1/2" up). This is the same as I drilled the original Ridiculous. This puts the pin below the bridge for me.
When I first put the Ridiculous in my hand, I found that this ball was hands down, my benchmark ball. This ball filled such a wide area of conditions and parts of the lane I could play. What it had some problems was when I needed just a tad more tip on the back of the lane in order to get the ball going through the pins correctly.....either the lanes were a tad on the tight side and I cannot change surface, or I needed to move in, catch some carry down, and the ball would labor down lane. Well, the Ridiculous Asym fixed this issue. The Asym is everything the Ridiculous is, and then some!
Not only does this ball look phenomenal going down the lane, but it is also a wonderful fit between my Rave series and my Primo series bowling balls.
This is the thing I love about Radical Bowling Technologies arsenal. Always releasing bowling balls to fill a gap....not just releasing a ball in order to put a check in the box so they can say "yep, we had a release this month too".
I have found myself starting with the Ridiculous Asym, and playing the lanes a bit more to the right with my feet. When I start getting too deep, I can now make ball changes in reverse....ball down to the Ridiculous and get a cleaner read through the fronts and continued through the back of the lane.
Another example might be when my Primo solid is too much and I need to cheat a bit back left and have something that gives me less angle, I grab the Ridiculous Asym and boom time....back in the saddle!
The Radical Ridiculous Asym is the big brother to the Radical Ridiculous. The Ridiculous Asym is just as clean through the fronts, but starts to roll earlier in the midlane and has more continuous angle in the backend. I laid mine out to roll through the entire lane so i can use it on more flatter sport shots, and it has not let me down. The Ridiculous Asym is a ball you will not regret getting it.
Great for oily tournament conditions
