Radical continues their Xeno line of bowling balls with the Xeno Pearl. This ball produces great ball motion with out of this world continuation as it moves through the pins. Testing showed that the extra length and extra flip that this ball provides makes it a great companion to the original Xeno ball. This ball features a pearl additive that gives this ball a little extra reaction down lane.
Xeno PearlWell I drilled up this ball. I decided to layout it out 65 x 5 1/2 x 30. I will have to say I was very impressed with this ball. It has great length with flip. I decided to knock the shine off it with a 4000 grit pad. And now it has less flip but more continuous. I love it. I used it in my sport league and house shot league. Another great ball from Radical bowling Technologies. Robert Way
I like this ball for later in the day. It goes very long on oil, so it is perfect for me when the lanes break down. I was able to use this ball during the transition and it was able to give me a controlled look with a jump off the spot. If you want length and more flip on the back end, this is your ball of choice.
Continuing off the success of the Reax V2 Core, Radical has introduced the Xeno Pearl. The Xeno Pearl uses the same core used in the Reax V2 and the original Xeno, but with a beefed up pearl coverstock. I went with a 50x5x45 layout that worked in a DV8 Vandal and I was hoping to see a similar motion. The Xeno Pearl has a very slow response to friction. It does not "jerk" off the spot at all. Which would make it a great option for wet/dry lanes when the heads have started to burn up. Being a high speed player, the out of box finish push'd a little too long for me on most conditions, so I hit the surface with a 4000 Siaair Pad, and the motion was much more manageable. The Xeno Pearl gets down the lane well and rolls off the spot. Because of how slow it is off the friction I cannot get in and open up my angles with it, but when I need to keep my angles tight, the Xeno will perform very well.
Used on 38ft house shot medium oil I drilled mine. Pin down on c.l. and weight hole 5' to right and 1/2' up (right handed) ball reads lanes really well and hits great.
The Radical Xeno Pearl is the perfect compliment to the Xeno Solid. I went with a similar layout to what I have on my Xeno Solid (60 x 4.5 x 35). The Xeno Pearl is cleaner through the heads than the Xeno Solid with a quicker response to friction downlane. When my Xeno Solid starts hooking too early, I can generally switch to the Xeno Pearl and make a small parallel move back to the right. The Xeno Solid and Xeno Pearl make for an excellent 2 ball combination that can tackle a wide range of conditions.
A great reuse of the V2 core now wrapped in an updated coverstock. This ball is amazing and a great one two combo. When the Xeno solid becomes too much hook or starts to roll early the Xeno pearl fits right in giving more length and a stronger backend motion. Mine is drilled about 5" pin above middle finger and mass bias kicked about 2" right of thumb hole and this ball allows me to get left during the breakdown and plenty of recovery on the backend to drive 10 in the pit.
I'm a Mo Rich fan so I sent them a note asking how does this ball compare to the Aersome Flip and the andwervwas stronger and theyvwhere right. I'm very happy with this ball. I just got my Cash Ball had it drilled today.
Like most bowling ball pairings, I drilled the Xeno Pearl as a compliment to my Xeno Solid but I got much more than I expected. Wow this ball has backend! I threw the Xeno on both a house shot and a high volume pattern (43 feet, 44mls) and I was blown away with this pearls performance on each pattern. On the house shot I was able to comfortably get inside of 20 and throw the ball out to 4 and get it back to the pocket easily! On the higher volume pattern, I was able to play more up the boards and still maintain the energy to have the strong backend to get the pins down! I had the pearl 2-1 right of the solid with 2 feet more length and more backend reaction. Another bonus for me is that the colors make the ball motion very easy to read and ensure you are making a consistent release each shot. Highly recommend this piece to everyone looking for superior pearl performance! -Justin Knowles, Brunswick Regional Staff Member
