I bought this to get more wrist support. Twenty years ago, I had the original Robby's leather version, with was very stiff. This material is very comfortable and definitely more flexible. The metal bar "munches" my wrist-bone, however and I can't use it very long. I will be purchasing one of those cotton wrist "sock" liners to wear under it in the hopes it will soften the pressure on the bone. (I'm bony anyway, so this may not be an issue for some people).
