The Roto Grip Eternal Cell continues the popular and successful line of Cell bowling balls. This ball has a Nucleus core that is covered with the 70M Solid reactive coverstock and finished with a 1500 grit pad and then polished. This combination results in a ball that offers balance and control while still giving great pin action and is best used on medium oil conditions.
I decided to throw it first out of the bag to see what it would do on fresh oil. Noticed right off that its easy to read the roll with the color scheme. Took only a few practice shots to get lined up. It cleared the heads nicely with a consist read off the break point. Figured being 1500-polished that I would be playing the lane more straight up the boards but was surprised that wasn't the case. Just like the past "cell's" you can play the lane wider than what you feel you could. This ball was simple to adjust to the carry-down with a bonus being it can recover on missed shots wide. All in all, its exactly what I thought it would be.
Great ball! saves you if you are wide, saves you if you are inside a little, always pounds the pins.
I personally love a medium to medium heavy condition and the Eternal Cell fits right into this area. The Eternal Cell is right at home on this condition and it has become my favorite ball.
The ball rolls true and it hits like a truck when you put it where is needs to be. I get a consistent reaction from the ball with no over/under at all. It has quickly become my new benchmark ball and my scores have improved since the purchase.
The ball is still in box condition with no surface adjustments. The cover and core matchup is fantastic and the core is a proven winner. My ball is drilled pin down below the ring finger with the MB swung over to the VAL. There is also a balance hole in the P3 quad.
For me, the drilling provides good length with a strong reaction in the mid-lane and hard arching back end. The reaction is hard off the spot, but not jumpy at all. Hard, but smooth at the same time.
I have had this ball a month. My average is up 25 pins. This ball is great on oil and dry. This is a must have ball in your bag. Ball is great in the pocket and hits hard. Love it. Love it.
When my Sinister becomes unpredictable during lane transition It works will for me, but I guess it's depends on the bowler and how it's drilled. RG #KOTA
Used the ball at a tournament and league both worked very well. Hooks a ton.
