Question:

How does this ball compare to the Hustle POW? I really liked that ball when the lanes started to burn up a bit.

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

They both have the same weight block and the same out-of-box finish but they have different types of pearl coverstocks. The Hustle 3TP has a VTC-P18 Pearl Reactive which is just a little stronger than the Pumped Pearl cover on the POW.

Question:

I am a left handed bowler with low rev rate with ball speed around 15 mph .I bowl in a league average is 172 I would like to by a new ball .I don't know what the ball is drilled at I have a Roto Grip show off 15 lb

8/25/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

If you were wanting to keep the Roto Grip Show Off as your medium to heavy oil ball then you could use the Roto Grip Hustle 3TP as your medium to light oil ball. This ball will read the lanes much differently than the Show Off. First the Show Off reads more in the midlane for gradual hook while this Hustle is made to go longer on the lane with an angular backend hook. So if you wanted versatility and for your next ball to handle the lanes when the Shoe Off gets too aggressive then this would be a good option.

Question:

How does this ball compare to the rotogrip wreck-em?

1/30/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Hustle is just a little weaker than the Wreck Em but it was going to have a very similar read on the lanes because it is also designed to go longer on the lanes to have a good backend hook.

Question:

best bowling ball for down and in shot

2/7/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This would let you play down and in on medium to light oil. It has a pearl cover with a polished finish so the ball goes long and then saves the hook until the backend.

Question:

How does this ball match up to the Roto Grip Menace?

2/11/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Roto Grip Menace was a high performance ball with a solid cover and dull finish. This made the Menace read the midlane and work in heavier oil. The Hustle 3TP is a mid perofrmance ball for medium to lighter oil and it has a pearl cover to break late on the backend. The Menace is a much stronger hooking ball.

Question:

I carry about a 150 average on two leagues and currently use a Tropical Storm. Due to an injury to my elbow years ago I had to use a 10 lb ball to continue bowling. Plus I am 73 yrs young and wonder if the Roto Trip 3TO Husltlle would work for me. I am a righty and throw a slight book but am having a lot of problems with light mixs.

3/2/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

At 10lbs all three bowling balls would have the same weight block essentially so the difference will be in the cover. The Hustle 3TP has a slightly stronger coverstock than the Tropical so it would give you more hook potential. The Mix line was a urethane style cover which is much weaker so it would not give you much hook potential at all so this would be much stronger than the Mix.

Question:

So i just got into bowling i bowl in league i have a 164 average i have a Columbia 300 purple red gold hook bowling ball 15 pounds how would this ball help to get better and go 200 average and is it a better ball than my old one

3/21/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

It is hard to say how this would react compared to the Columbia ball because I am not sure exactly which Columbia ball you have. This is designed to give you good length with a sharp backend hook in medium to lighter oil conditions so if that would be a good match for your style and the condition you most often bowl in it could definitely help raise your average.

Question:

Looking for a ball for my son. Currently rolling the hustle 3tp but looking for something to get down the lane a little farther. Any suggestions on what I should look for?

7/14/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

If you needed even more length then you may have to move to a ball that is not as strong as the 3TP so something more in the entry performance line may be the next best option. So maybe check into one of the Storm Tropical Surge Pearl options and see if this gives more length.

Question:

Looking for a ball with a little Curve to it

1/19/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Roto Grip Hustle is a good mid performance option for medium to lighter oil. In lighter oil this ball will be pretty strong but in medium oil it will have a more moderate hook that may be more of what you are looking for. Also, compared to the other Roto Grip performance balls this is one option that has the least hook potential in their line.

Question:

I have a 230 avg and currently have a columbia 300 red purple gold scout reactive ball im looking for something with more hook would a hustle 3tp be good for me

2/28/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

It may depend on the weight you get. The Scout really did not have much of a performance weight block so if you get this ball in any weight over 12lbs then it will have a stronger weight block. The 14-16lbs is the best option for the weight block but 12-13 would still be a step up from the Scout.

Question:

What is the best polish to use on this ball to get it to just a little longer down the lane?

4/7/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

If you want more length you can add more polish to help give the ball more length. Since Storm and Roto Grip are under the same company you could go with this product: https://www.bowling.com/products/storm-xtra-shine-all-purpose-polish.htm

Question:

I have a Roto Grip Shout as a low reactive ball for light to medium oil. how does this ball compare to the Shout?

4/7/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Hustle will be able to give you a little more length and a little sharper backend hook than the Shout because the Hustle RAP has a pearl coverstock compared to the solid cover on the Shout. Also the weight block on the Hustle RAP has a slightly higher flare potential.
