Great For League

I would call this a very versatile/easy to use ball. Starts to pick up the lane fairly quickly, but does not seem to over react too much. Just a nice smooth arcing motion from the mids and down the lane. Was having pretty good success, even on the fresh. This Hustle USA covers plenty of boards, and pretty easy to get to the pocket. No big adjustments, just a couple boards and small speed changes. Played pretty much the same zone (second arrow) all night with a 221 high game. Very impressed with the performance of the hybrid cover. Seems easier to control than longer or pearl options. I like the 3000 grit finish, and probably wont change it. It seems to pair well with the hybrid cover and be a good balance of traction and reliability. Even though it is a lower diff ball, I was getting plenty of hook and good continuation thru the pins. Excited to use it again next week and get a few more games on it. Drilled mine pinup above the bridge. I’m a stroker around 16 mph.

Hi Gerk! The hybrid coverstock of the Roto Grip Hustle USA would go longer than the solid coverstock Roto Grip Hustle Ink.

Question:

I throw this ball on the fresh and am happy with the carry. But have to switch to my Pitch Black by game 2. Is there a higher-performance ball that will carry as well or better as Hustle USA and won't hook more?

4/22/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Hi Ed, typically the higher performance the more hook and heavier oil is required. You may take a look at the Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid which would have great continuation, but also more hook.

Question:

I am an older female bowler {75 years young with not much speed } what kind of ball do you recommend for a ball with just a slight hook?

5/8/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

We would recommend getting a ball with a pearl coverstock to give you more length if you have a slower ball speed. The Roto Grip Hustle USA has a 3000 grit dull finish so it may read a little earlier on the lane and this may not be a good fit. You may look at the Hustle Wine instead as a better option.

Question:

So I am a backup bowler who cradles and who throws 15-17 mph on average. Is thus ball good for someone who plays the edge of the lane more and can move a few boards if I have too depending on hook.

6/9/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The duller finish of this ball will help the ball grip earlier on the lanes and some oil patterns will also taper the oil as you get closer to the edge of the lane so this could possibly make this ball a little stronger for someone who plays more on the edge. If there is less oil on the edge then this ball will grip more and should recover nicely in medium to lighter oil.

Question:

Low rev 15-16 mph ball speed is this a good ball for a typical house pattern

11/2/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball is best for medium to lighter oil conditions so if you are in a league it may not be strong enough for the first game but as the oil dries some and the lanes transition you should be able to use this ball for some of the later games.
