Roto Grip RST X-1
Professional bowlers on tour, and those that want to bowl like them, like bowling balls that offer more hook and continuous down lane motion while driving through the pins. It is this type of bowler that the Roto Grip RST X-1 hybrid reactive bowling ball was designed for. This high-performance asymmetrical ball has a core that produces consistent core torque as well as energy transfer down lane. This RST (Roto Star Tour) core is wrapped with a versatile MicroTrax Hybrid coverstock which generates ideal responsiveness on both oil and friction.

Roto Grip RST X-1 Ball Review
The Roto Grip RST X-1 has a low RG value of 2.53 a high differential of 0.053 and a low intermediate differential of 0.016.
Roto Grip came out with a new combination of the RST or Roto Star Tour Core and MicroTrax Hybrid Cover.
The core cover combination will help produce an optimum balance of traction through the midlane while providing responsiveness to the friction and consistent core torque and energy transfer downlane.
A little tidbit about the core, when you drill the thumb, you will always end up in that void space on either side of the core which in turn helps the ball maintain its dynamics after drilling which in turn helps maintain a high level of core torque downlane.
I have the RST X-1 drilled pin up with the layout of 40 x 3 5/8 by 25 to give me a smooth reaction through the midlane and continuation off the breakpoint.
I did a ball comparison with the Storm Parallax up first, as you can see the Parallax leaves the flat ten showing the strength of the RST X-1 compared to the Parallax which is also a Hybrid cover.
Second comparison is to the Roto Grip Rubicon which is drilled pin down, the Rubicon has more of a bench mark reaction very smooth through the midlane and continuation off the spot but again leaves the flat 10.
Third comparison is the Storm Proton Physix, the Proton Physix here I was able to create more angle to the pocket downlane and open up the lane more than the RST X-1.
The RST X-1 will sit in my bag in between the Storm Proton Physix and Rubicon.

Roto Grip RST X-1 Ball Review
The RST X-1 features the new Roto Star Core wrapped in MicroTrax Hybrid. For me, I am able to use this ball on a variety of patterns. I am able to use this in league and not have to worry about what it will do. It is a great benchmark shape for an asymmetrical ball. I can see myself bringing this ball everywhere I go whether that be tournaments or league. I also see this ball as a stronger and more versatile PhysiX. If you liked that ball you will not be disappointed with the RST X-1!!

Question:
How does this ball compare to motiv forge fire will it go longer
10/24/2020 - By HamsterHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
They are very comparable actually. Both are high performance and both have hybrid coverstocks. However, the out of the box finish on the RST-X is a little duller so it may read just a little earlier than the Forge Fire.

Question:
How does this ball compare to the frequency
11/6/2020 - By NoahHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
They are similar in some ways because they both are high performance balls with a hybrid coverstock but the duller finish on the Frequency will help it read earlier and the weight block also on the Frequency reads earlier for a smoother hook. The RST-X is going to have a little more length but not too late like a skid flip ball. It will still read with a strong arc hook but just a little later than the Frequency.

Question:
would the RST X1 be good for a full roller
11/9/2020 - By sdcHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
Yes, this could work fine for a full roller but you just have to make sure your driller does a full roller layout so it reacts best with your release.

Question:
How does compare to the Storm Crux Prime?
11/22/2020 - By KadenHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
This will read a little later on the lanes and give you a little more angular hook than the Crux Prime. The RST-X has a hybrid cover with 3000 grit finish which will give you more length than the solid cover and 2000 grit finish on the Crux Prime.
