Customer Questions & Answers | Reviews
Question:
What storm ball is closest to the Nano
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
There were several Storm bowling balls with Nano in the name. This would be closest to the Storm Hy-Road Nano. They have the same weight blocks but this ball would go just a little longer on the lane than the Hy-Road Nano because it has a hybrid cover at 4000 grit and the Hy-Road Nano had a solid cover at 2000 grit.

Question:
can i change to 5000 polish
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
You may adjust the coverstock as needed to get the desired reaction you want. If you go to a higher grit then the ball will go longer on the lanes and shift more of the hook to the backend.

Question:
I asked you about the phase 3 being above the sonqi and you said they were too much alike and I agree. Would this ball be a better choise be low the sonqi? I'm tring to replace a timeless which at times was a little to early on fresh.
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
To get something that has a similar reaction to your SonIQ I would actually suggest the Storm Match Up Pearl Black/Orange/Silver as a good compliment. They both have pearl coverstocks and the same finish so they will have similar reactions but the Match Up Pearl is better suited for medium to lighter oil and you can use the SonIQ for medium to some heavy oil.

Question:
Is this ball close the fire road
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Actually the Storm Hy-Road Pearl would probably be a little closer comparison to the Fire Road because they both were a pearl cover with a 1500 grit polished finish.

Question:
What new storm ball is an improvement on the storm crossroads
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Storm Hy-Road would be the closest option to the Crossroad. The All Road is the latest in this "Road" line but it would read earlier and smoother than the Crossroad would have out of the box.

Question:
Would this bowling ball be good to replace my Roto Grip Hot Cell in my arsenal.
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Hot Cell was a urethane ball with a high performance weight block which is pretty hard to replace. The Storm Pitch series is the only Storm urethane option currently so you may prefer an option like that.

Question:
When the Storm Phaze 3 becomes to strong, will this ball be a good choice to ball with after it?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
I would not recommend the All Road as a good ball to switch to after using the Phaze 3 just because the Phaze 3 would get more length and the All Road is going to read a little earlier on the lanes. If you had a Phaze II then the All Road would be a good compliment to go down to but for the Phaze 3 it would be better to get something that still gives you a later break. The new ball coming out called the Electrify Pearl would be a good option to checkout.

Question:
Would a Hy Road be good to pair with my All Road
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This does have a slightly different reaction to the Hy-Road and it is also a little less hook potential so if you have a good light-dry oil ball and you have a gap between your Hy-Road and that drier oil ball then this could fill that gap pretty nicely. However, I think if you just have the Hy-Road and you need something more for lighter oil conditions you may want to go down a little more to something like the Electrify series to give you a better 1-2 option and more versatility.

Question:
Will this ball read a little more in oil than the hyroad? I've tried my friends hyroad but I'd like to get one for just house shots so I'm thinking about the all road over the hyroad.
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The All-Road has a little duller finish to help grip earlier on the lanes. The Hy-Road goes a little longer but also it can handle the same amount of oil as the All-Road. So the biggest difference is just the finish causing one to read a little earlier and one to read a little later.

Question:
Will the hy road match okay with this bowling ball.
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Hy-Road is designed to go later on the lanes with a polished finish out of the box versus the 4000 grit on the All Road. Also the Hy-Road would be a little stronger hook overall. If you needed two different looks at something for medium oil this could work.

Is this ball good for dry lane and light oil lane?

Question:
Will this ball be good for a medium-high rev two hand bowler on medium oil pattern? if not what are some suggestions?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This could be a good option for you if your ball speed is average to higher speed. If you have a slower ball speed then you may want to get a ball that gets a little more length like the Hy-Road Pearl.

Question:
What is a good ball for a senior woman who can't throw hard...only 7-8 mph
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This ball could be a good option for you but I would say that with your ball speed this would be more suited for medium to heavier oil instead of medium to lighter oil. You may also want to consider a pearl ball with a polished finish to help the ball get down the lane better so it does not start hooking too early on you.

Question:
Would this ball be good to go to after the hyroad max
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This ball is designed to go a little longer on the lanes and can work down into some lighter oil conditions so you could use the Hy-Road Max for more medium oil and the All Road on more lighter conditions.

Question:
Hello im looking for a reactive ball that handles well on a shorter pattern 32'-36' how would you say this ball would hold with a arching drill (pin down under the ring finger)? Thank you
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This would be a good option for what you are looking to do. Out of the box this has a 4000 grit finish which still gives you a little length but it will read earlier than most of the other options in the same group so you can play a smoother arcing hook.
