The Storm Ice Storm Blue/White will freeze your opponents in place whenever you pull this out of the bag. A 3-Piece Pancake Core is surrounded by a Pearlized Polyester Coverstock that will allow the ball travel down the lane, pinpointing wherever you direct it. Finishing this ball in a 3500 grit polish, Storm wants this ball to have maximal length while retaining the accuracy a Polyester ball should have. Whether you bowl for cash or just for fun, the straight-shooting, durable Ice Storm is so cool your biggest rival will have a meltdown!

What else is there to say but...it goes straight. Just like a spare ball should. I haven't missed a spare with it since I drilled it. Can't ask for more than that. And, of course, the fact blue is my favorite color means the ball is pretty too.
Got this ball in September to use as a spare ball. It is great for that. In the oil dose exactly what it should it goes straight. If the lanes brake down and are dry it dose wonders. I don't know how many times I haven't been able to find a good reaction from a ball and have pulled this out to throw on a 1st ball. As a higher REV player I can pull this out go right up 5 when the lanes are dry and it will walk itself to the pocket and hit like a truck.

Wanted this ball to straight bowl. It does just that! Peffect straight ball to have. My ball arrived and had more white than blue but it does vary. Work's GREAT! and that works for me.
What do I get with drilling protection?
10/27/2016 - By KathyHi Kathy. If your new ball cracks when it's drilled by a pro shop, bowling.com will replace your ball free of charge! Manufacturers' warranties typically do not cover for cracking during drilling and drillers are not held responsible for their mistakes or defects in the ball.

1/11/2017 - By Tonydoes the storm ice have a aggressive core in it ??
2/27/2017 - By kgtThe core is a traditional 3 piece pancake core, which is not an aggressive core. This ball is made for light oil, with a very minimal break as the ball nears the pocket.
2/28/2017 - By Bowling.Com Staffhow does the reaction of the Ice compare with the Mix?
5/23/2017 - By JimCould this ball be used as a strike ball?
6/8/2017 - By LeftyDoes this ball come drilled
8/16/2017 - By CatI am looking for a spare ball, and have heard many good things about this one. With the way I bowl, my ball has a heavy hook, and I need to know: will this ball go straight?
1/18/2018 - By FrankThis ball will go completely straight down the lanes.
1/19/2018 - By Bowling.Com StaffThis ball is going to relatively straight depending on the amount of spin you put on your ball. Personally i have lots of spin so i can get this ball to hook and strike as a strike ball
5/5/2018 - By TravisIs the design on the ball like in the picture with the word ice dripping down
4/4/2018 - By BritDoes ball hook
6/2/2018 - By SoapyHi! I throw a 12lb at a 16.5 speed; is this ball going to be okay for that since it’s plastic?
6/9/2018 - By JPdoes this ball hook I'm a new bowler and learned to curve so I want a beginner ball that hooks
3/31/2019 - By isaiahHow do you get ball drilled?
3/31/2019 - By MikeDoes it hook at all, even 1/2 of an inch at 100 RPM?
7/17/2019 - By Davidcan you drill this ball with finger/posotive?
9/9/2019 - By dougHello Doug! If you click the "?" next to the drilling with free protection, it will give the sizes for each drilling option. We would not be able to customize this drilling to fit you.
9/9/2019 - By Bowling.Com StaffIs it available in 8 or 9 lbs?
9/26/2019 - By JulieIs this a plastic ball
11/5/2019 - By jI currently roll a 13lb Storm Ice, like that it's straight. Would a 14lb Storm Ice give me more action? I get a lot of 9s.
11/13/2019 - By Bowling BunnyBoth bowling balls will go straight but the 14lb could give you more carry through because it is heavier and this could give you a little more pin action.
11/15/2019 - By Bowling.Com StaffHey my question is when I choose the medium drilling it will be about the same size as a house ball right I am a new bowler and use a 10# ball with a medium drilling
12/6/2019 - By Bowling goatYou may click on the question mark next to the $14.95 drilling option to view the size chart to confirm the measurements of your hand to see if medium would be an accurate size for you.
12/10/2019 - By Bowling.Com StaffWife throws a reverse hook and leaves too many 10 pins on a short oil condition. Please suggest a ball with better backend reaction
12/13/2019 - By ArmyThe Storm Ice Storm Blue is a spare ball meant to just go straight. If you wanted something stronger on the backend than what you have we would need to first know what you currently have. You would probably want to get a pearl coverstock ball to get good length and a strong backend and make sure the next ball is a step up in the performance level compared to the ball you have now.
