Would a 13lb ball, with speed of 12 to 13 MPH, thrown down 5-10 board work for Senior male bowler?

Yes, this ball has a chance to work well for your style. The pearl coverstock helps this to go longer which will let you play more of a down and in style shot.

Question:

I am 66 years old and I just got back to bowling. My pro shop drilled a 16 lb match pearl, I think it is too heavy for me and my bad knees. Would this be better for me. Would you recommend a 14 lb or a 15 lb?

5/17/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

We recommend going with the weight that does not tire you out or hurts you. If you feel like you should go down in weight to a 14 or 15lb ball, that would probably be a wise decision.

Question:

Is the storm match up I deal for wood lanes ?

10/18/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball is rated for medium to drier lane conditions and wood lanes tend to dry up quicker than synthetic lanes so you would likely be in lighter oil more often on wood lanes.

Question:

How does the Match Up compare to the old rocket

11/3/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Rocket looks like it was just a little stronger than the Storm Match Up Pearl. The Rocket was designed for medium oil and the Match Up Pearl shows to be best in light to medium.

Question:

how work for 2 hander that has speed around 13 to 14 MPH

3/14/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball is designed to get down the lane and hook strong on the backend. So with your ball speed and what I am guessing is probably a high rev rate you would need a ball like this to give you good length. For you this will be a good ball in medium oil conditions.
